19.01.2022 'Moderate lower back pain should be treated with over-the-counter medications and physical therapy, a new study shows, not harsh painkillers and MRI scans, as is increasingly the case.' In the US 1 in 10 doctor visits are for low back pain and it is poorly treated. The reason for this is that most low back pain that people see the GP for is of a non serious nature and therefore doesn't fall under what a GP treats. At Sydney Osteopathy we have decades of experience treati...ng low back pain as it's what we do - musculo-skeletal manual treatment. There is growing scientific evidence supporting the use of osteopathic manipulative treatment for low back pain. So make your appointment today to optimize your lower back health.

11.01.2022 This study is about 6 years old but it still holds up. Those that underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and manual therapy for mild to severe knee arthritis (this isn't knee replacement) were worse off than those who just did physical therapy and medication treatment. Those that had 2 years of manual treatment and took medications were better off. That being said, joint replacement surgery gives great results in reduction of pain.... http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/121067.php
