25.01.2022 August Results for the Social Distancing challenge are up. Sorry for the delay, we have been busy getting the Social Distancing challenge details for the rest of 2020 setup. Well done everyone! The full leaderboard of results can be seen here: https://spscchallenge.com.au/board/august-2020/ Going foward, we have made a few small changes to the Social Distancing Challenge 200m sprint is now out and back and can begin with a rolling start. This will be more challenging, but wil...l be a fair way to get even conditions for everyone virtually. To simplify the leaderboards, 500m sprint and 1k straight have been removed. Non distance workouts have also been removed. So all month long you can post distances to log your progress. And dont forget about the 2020 Wrap Up Series SUP 5.0 which focueses on rewarding those with PBs!

24.01.2022 Amy Blakemore scored a 44th more lap for the team just under the 24h mark! She got there by the skin of her teeth! Amzing and gutsy effort in grueling 25-30knots!

Adam can be seen racing, training and surfing as well as heavy participation in our Social Distancing Challenge to keep motivated during this past year. 23.01.2022 Coach Casey. is returning as our Coach and SPSC Sponsor in 2020-2021 Season. He will be writing our training program available to all members amd providing discounted surf and racing clinics to members. He also offers small group training sessions Monday and Wednesday afternoons which are now available to SPSC Members at half price per session. 23.01.2022 Again in the 2020-2021 Season we are heavily focusing on our juniors and youth. Coach Casey. is going to help get the juniors with 2 junior surf clinics in October. And NEW for 2020-21 Season is the late afternoon twilight SPSC Junior Race Series held at JPP from 5pm. Dates are 3rd Saturday of month through day light savings time. The Juniorss will have o...ption of doing 5.0km, 2.2km, 1km and also fun sprint teams events. Sammy Williams has offered to bung on some bangers on BBQ so should be fun Paddle community events. Will send a recap of everything later, but in the meantime thought we share these cool stats from the 2019-2021 season! 193 members (142 male / 51 female / 32 Juniors) We successfully completed:... 3 - 10 foot surf comps 2 open surf comps 1 Virtual Surf Comp 11 (of 18 planned) long series races 11 (of 15 planned) spring series races 6 junior series races 3 technical comps 2 charity paddles 9 Coach Casey Clinics 5 months of Social Distance Virtual Paddling Participation numbers are: 57 members particpated in surf comps 37 members particpated in the long series 40 members participated in the sprint series 60 members participated in the social distancing challenge So it ended up being a big season regardless of COVID, and we hope to continue strong into next season.
