22.01.2022 Thank you to our generous donors and supporters of our #SalutingSydneyWomen spring campaign. We're delighted to support the work of Strong Mothers, who provide a safe space for Aboriginal mothers to connect with culture, each other and their families. #AlwayswasAlwayswillbe #NAIDOC2020

21.01.2022 NAIDOC 2020! A week celebrating our First Nation's peoples as the worlds oldest continuous living culture. We work on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging. We are grateful for the women in our community who so generously share their stories and wisdom for us all. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020 #salutingsydneywomen

17.01.2022 BRAZEN HUSSIES reveals a revolutionary chapter in Australian History, The Women’s Liberation Movement (1965 -1975). It shows us how a daring and diverse group of women joined forces to defy the status quo, demand equality and create profound social change - contributing to one of the greatest social movements of the 20th Century. Our friends at Documentary Australia Foundation are delighted to share this important project in their Women & Girls Impact Area with supporters of... the Sydney Women’s Fund. Our Patron, Wendy McCarthy AO will be part of the discussion afterwards, alongside Margot Nash, Mitzi Goldman and the filmmaker Catherine Dwyer. DAF and SWF would like to invite you to: BRAZEN HUSSIES Preview Screening and Q&A Thursday 29th October, from 5.45pm for a 6.30pm start At Palace Chauvel in Paddington Whats the trailer here: https://vimeo.com/451401547 If you are interested please get in touch and send us a message or contact Alessandra Styling at [email protected]

12.01.2022 Congratulations to the graduates of @thesocialoutfit retail training program ‘My First Job in Australia’. This paid work experience project gives refugee and migrant women that critical first job in Australia. With a 100% success rate, these women are graduating and have already secured their next job in Sydney. Help us support more young women into the program and please give next #GivingTuesday. Plus if you give on 1st December to Sydney Women’s Fund we have a generous donor who will match every gift, dollar for dollar up to $5,000. Save the date 1 December 2020.

02.01.2022 Girls in Business! Meet @wildflower.ha - a new initiative of our charity partner @Liverpool Neighbourhood Connections launching this brilliant new project as part of their #StriveforGirls program. Sydney Women's Fund Portrait III Research told us that women's financial vulnerability is a huge issue for Sydney women, this project is a new way for girls to develop financial capability skills early and support their independence. Always innovating LNC is building on the lessons... from their long running LNC Women's Business Incubator - now a pop up shop @therisingcollectiveboutique. The Women's Business Incubator is kindly supported by @naomitosic and @theofficespace - Insight series. As a community foundation, we partner with local grassroots charities like LNC for multiple years so they have time to pilot programs, test what works and evolve their work to meet the growing needs of our local communities. We're recognising their work as part of International #DayOfTheGirl, recognising all girls’ rights and challenges that they may face across the world. #SalutingSydneyWomen
