25.01.2022 A very fine modern Australian guitar built by Allan Bull of Kingston, Tasmania. Engelman spruce soundboard with "asymmetric grid" bracing pattern. Braceless back of stunning black-heart sassafras with laminations of silver ash. Australian cedar neck with subtly raised fingerboard. Impeccable construction. This is a balanced and powerful instrument with a muscular tone that is at the same time beautiful sounding. $6150.
23.01.2022 Jayson Elazzi has just dropped off a gorgeous spruce/rosewood model. This is one of his nicest spruce models I've played. It's already open sounding and has a crisp but warm tonality. People are sometimes surprised at the volume these guitars have for a relatively small body. I've heard Jayson's guitars out gun modern super guitars in the volume stakes but with much more charm and musicality.
22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Apologies for the lengthy absence, I've been busy uploading guitars to my new "proper" website that has gone live today. Thought I would return with a very fine Daniel De Jong Traditional that arrived last night. European spruce/Indian rosewood, French polished. This is like a classic Julian Bream guitar. Sound and looks gorgeous. $4995.
21.01.2022 Support Louis at the Clarence Hotel who is bringing live music back to this part of Sydney.

18.01.2022 Graham Caldersmith "Grange" #63. $5000. Although at a lower pricepoint, the Caldersmith Grange maintains many features found in this iconic Australian maker's concert instruments. Cedar soundboard reinforced with cedar rectangular lattice (as opposed to balsa/carbon fibre). This gives the Grange a woodier sound to my ears but still projects and sustains well. Blackwood back and sides.
18.01.2022 Another fine and innovative modern Australian guitar from Allan Bull of Kingston,Tasmania. Blonde cedar soundboard with Allan's unique "asymmetric grid" bracing. Highly figured Tasmanian Blackwood back/sides reinforced with laminations of myrtle and silver ash. Powerful and authorative tone but with traditional character. Impeccable workmanship and top notch materials. $6150.
16.01.2022 New Bruce Roberts Spruce/Rosewood Traditional $6500. This is one of the nicest spruce Roberts I have played to date. It is subtly inspired by late model Hauser 1s but with modifications for modern strings and ideas based on Bruce's building experience. Impeccably built, incredibly accurate and a dream to play. Gorgeous
13.01.2022 It is with great pleasure that I have reestablished my connection with Tasmanian luthier David Buttrose. David builds beautiful in the style of guitars. Over the years I've sold Hauser, M. Ramirez and Hernandez y Aquado style instruments that were up there with the best the world had to offer for a fraction of the price. This instrument is based on a Romanillos and David has even perfectly reproduced the famous arch rossette. Euro spruce/Indian rosewood, French polished. It's sound matches it's stunning good looks. A bargain at $5500.
12.01.2022 2001 Daniel De Jong Flamenco spruce/cypress $3500. Before Daniel started concentrating on mainly buiding classical guitars he was well known for his world class flamenco instruments. As with his classicals, Daniel's flamencos are inspired by master Spanish luthiers and have beautiful old world charm and tone.
09.01.2022 1998 Jeremy Locke Cedar/Tasmanian Blackwood $4500. This is a fine sounding radially braced guitar by well known Queensland luthier Jeremy Locke. It has an even, balanced tone with a nice "airy" quality but still has volume and power. The string tension is lowish making it easy to play. I like it a lot.
06.01.2022 A new stunningly beautiful and incredibly powerful lattice/arched back guitar from well known Australian luthier Kim Lissarrague. French polished spruce soundboard, upgrade SA rosewood back/sides with dramatic sapwood figure, upgrade Scheller tuners with black MOP buttons. Did I mention that not only is this guitar beautiful but also LOUD? I'm very lucky to have this guitar as most of Kim's instruments are sold into Europe and Asia. $9000
05.01.2022 New Tony Morison cedar/Indian rosewood. Tony's latest cedar top instrument is lovely sound wise and lookswise. It's sweet, clear and even and with nice warmth. It's also one of those "friendly" guitars that you don't want to put down! $7000
