25.01.2022 Jarrod only recently picked up sketching and painting after 10 years of being a makeup artist. He is inspired by fashion and punk. Religion, nature, spirituality and the human body also speak to him. He is inspired by not only our future but also our past. Jarrod has been told that he is a little eclectic and that sometimes shows in his work. He says he hasn't found his style yet. In his ideal world he is Wonder Woman !

25.01.2022 Chloe Tse is a freelance illustrator, 3D artist, animator and colourist (among other things) with a rather confusing background. Although born in Melbourne, she spent half of her childhood in Hong Kong and the other half in Sydney. Therefore, her style is a mix of the result of her growing up with Japanese mangas and western techniques she learned later in life. In love with the art of storytelling, she always tries to incorporate subtle stories into her art. Sometimes she i...s not as subtle by boldly drawing comic strips of stories about herself inspired by her everyday life and people around her. This comic, Curious Hoodie, is named after her abnormal love for hoodies and her odd personality (curious is a better word than demented). She is now travelling to Canada in search of new adventures, experience and inspirations. chloetse.com

15.01.2022 Peter J Fairfax (AKA Sturstein) draws stuff with pencils, ink and pixels. Sometimes he paints stuff with paint and pixels. He has various fancy pieces of paper from various art schools, which will no doubt come in handy one day if he runs out of other paper to draw and paint on. He does these things in Sydney, Australia. He may or may not be a werewolf. peterfairfax.com

15.01.2022 Kalman lee is a Creative Digital Designer and Artist. Kalman is from Christchurch, New Zealand and grew up loving illustrating.... and he still does. His creative nature lead him to study two diplomas; one in Computer Graphic Design, at the Design and Art College of New Zealand, and the other in Multimedia Design at the National College of Design and Technology.... Kalman moved to London in 2007 and while there he teamed up with his sister and launched a t-shirt range. During this time, he also held his first solo art exhibition. Kalman is currently a resident of Sydney, where he is still building up his creative skills - whether it be in cooking, designing furniture and jewellery, photography, t-shirt design, animation, or his first love, illustration. Kalman’s creative dream is to develope something educational; helping children learn in a fun way.

11.01.2022 As the youngest of four, Waiton Fong had always been a high achiever... until he grew up. He now just likes to make pretty things. Waiton's biggest influences have been the X-men and the Justice League since he was a wee thing. However the Vertigo imprint and a little bit of design school really opened his mind up after his teens. By day Waiton is a graphic designer, but by night (and weekends, and holidays) he can be seen partaking in public sketching groups and whiling away the hours painting (more often digitally since there's less stuff to clean up afterwards).

06.01.2022 Chris Pitcairn London born Chris Pitcairn’s fascination with the strange and otherworldly was sparked at a young age, when he discovered the work of fantasy illustrator Brian Froud. This fascination continued across the years and continents, and has become a permanent feature of his work. Chris has spent many years developing his skills in drawing, taking every art and and design class through high school, followed by attending the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) a...nd graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in the field of stage and costume design. Through this period, Chris’ influences grew to to include illustrators such as Rackham, Mucha and DiTerlizzi, as well as fashion designers like McQueen and Marchessa. Since graduating NIDA, Chris has primarily worked as a theatrical designer, choosing to focus on the realm of costume design. Chris has also begun to branch out into illustration, using a mixture of traditional and digital media. www.chrispitcairn.com

06.01.2022 When Mike Chiu was younger he decided to study illustration, as pencil and paper seemed to work well for him. This led to studies in animation, and afterwards Mike continued to work (occasionally) in both these areas. Mike later moved on to work in a entirely unrelated field, but as a hobby he tried to keep up a sketch book in his spare time. Mike enjoys character design and animation. He is fascinated by the techniques people use with these mediums to convey the overall feeling of their characters and the story surrounding them. Mike decided to sign up to this gallery project to provide himself with an opportunity dust off the old creative thinking parts of the brain. It's also a chance to collaborate with some nice folks, hopefully share some of their creative smarts and in the end get to drawing some pretty pictures.

02.01.2022 Bethany Levy never liked the idea of being an artist when she was young, because she didn't want to wear a silly hat. Now she is a Sydney based 2D animator and designer, with a focus on character animation and motion graphics, which requires little to no silly hats. She studied a Bachelor of Digital Media at Wollongong University, graduating in 2012, and completed a short course on oil painting colour theory through the National Art School last year. Having worked for two year...s as a full time motion graphics designer at Sydney based studio Engine, Bethany has now begun freelance animation in pursuit of strengthening her animation skills. This has allowed her to work with studios and agencies such as Mister, Ensemble, The Explainers, Zedtown and most recently ABC Kids. Her animation style is a mix of traditional hand drawn animation and elaborate 2D rigged puppets, and her painting style has strong influences from concept artwork for video games and expressionism. One day, she might consider wearing a silly hat. www.bethanylevy.com
