Our Northern Beaches location spoils us by giving us many extraordinary landscapes in which to sit, see and interpret and be thankful! The en plein air adventure continues over the next two Wednesdays and it's not too late to join in.

15.01.2022 Winding up the year that was: October, November and December had many participants finishing artwork for the exhibition that will now be an online experience from February 2021.Drawing Fundamentals went into the Plein Air enjoying opportunities locally and at Wendy Whiteley’s Garden. Another lockdown sees us now anticipating opening for Summer School workshops before getting into Term 1!

Takuro Kuro...kouchi, Chief Curator, will give the keynote address, sharing his knowledge on curating the sculpture park's wide variety of sculptural masterpieces that span the modern to contemporary eras, displayed against the stunning backdrop of the mountains in the Hakone region of Japan. 02.01.2022 This opportunity may be of interest to some of you : ] International Day of People with Disability 2020 is held on the 3rd December each year. Usually across Northern Sydney there are amazing activities and events to attend, however due to COVID restrictions the things we can do are very limited. This year’s theme for IDPWD is not all disabilities are visible, to help mark this Uniting Local Area coordination have partnered with local councils to host an art competition to... showcase the amazing talents of the diversely abled people in our community. Submissions are now being accepted until the 24th November. Pictures of artworks can be sent to [email protected] please be sure the picture is clear! All submission will be judged by a panel of artists who have experience of disability, following this public voting will be available on Uniting LAC socials from the 27th. Public galleries will be set up to view the winners artworks on the 3rd December. These locations are to be advised. This event is proudly sponsored by Ryde, Lane Cove and Northern Beaches Council.
