Such a talent and a genuinely nice guy too. This was our last full sized wedding before guest numbers were restricted due to the virus that I choose to not name. Instead of focusing on the doom and gloom that the media is right now, Ive chosen to only post love and happiness. 16.01.2022 WERE BACK!!! Well, not exactly in full swing but things are definitely starting to pick up again. Today, I had the privilege and honour of conducting a memorial service for a beautiful family, remembering a family member who sadly lost his life ten years ago. It was naturally very sad but we also shared a few laughs as we remembered Simon, who many knew as marching and to the beat of his own drum and always finding ways to make those around him laugh. He is still very muc...h loved and never forgotten. The last few months while I may have appeared fairly quiet Ive actually been busy with reschedules as a result of that blasted thing beginning with the letter C (I will not mention the name, we hear and read about it enough right now). Fortunately, most weddings have now been rescheduled and weve been able to find suitable dates - yay!! This means now instead of continuing to reschedule I can begin working on planning many of these ceremonies coming up in the coming months. I hope youre all doing ok during these crazy times!! 13.01.2022 I always feel a great honour to stand next to couples, officiating ceremonies, but it’s even more special when it’s for my close friends and family. Lindlay and I went to high school together, worked at McDonalds as kids, and now our children and families are also the best of friends. We’ve been through a lot together but are always there for one another, and to be able to officiate a renewal of vows to his beautiful wife Dan was something I won’t forget. Prior to the ceremony of Alicia + James, the wine box ceremony had always been a moment during the wedding where we locked love letters in a box with a bottle of wine (like a time capsule). 09.01.2022 A perfect day for this beautiful couple, Tran + Luke, just days before weddings were restricted to 5 guests. It was a first for me, solemnising a marriage and MC-ing on the grounds of Sydney University, and it most definitely did not disappoint! The reception was set up in the main quadrangle and looked nothing short of spectacular. I cannot wait to see more of the incredible work of photographer James Day and show you all just how sublime this spot was. Anna Wang also smashed it out of the park with styling this event.

08.01.2022 I may have a side double chin and a big dorky grin (ahh! that rhymed), but the ceremony of Lea Lea + Kylie was one of the most special Ive had the pleasure of being part of. For starters it was relaxed, a simple, sentimental ceremony in the couples lounge room, only witnessed by a few family members. There were tears of joy, some humour, and even recorded vows from Kylie, she cued from her (She didnt think she could get through them without crying!). The ceremony conclud...ed with a sweet hand ceremony, before I had the honour of declaring them Mrs & Mrs (with more tears). They waiting 9 years for this moment and I absolutely loved sharing in their joy. We all signed the papers on the kitchen bench, BUT with a Mont Blanc pen (sorry not pen, the ultimate writing instrument Im told ) and it all could not have been more . But you also get to see them when they are laughing so hard that tears run down their faceYou see them at 3am when the world is asleep except for you two, and you are singing Justin Bieber karaoke...Marriage is not beautiful but it is amazing. It was my absolute honour and privilege to conduct a memorial service for your Simon today and Im thrilled it helped during a difficult time for you all. I enjoyed spending time with both you and Kerry, and learning about Simon and the lives he touched. I am so happy we were able to pull together something beautiful/fitting to celebrate him, and share stories that made us laugh, cry and offer comfort to the family and many of Simons friends, as we remember him ten years since his passing. It really was a beautiful service and I was grateful for the opportunity to share it with you all. Im sure Simon would be very proud of you all for the efforts you put into today. 04.01.2022 In almost five years I’ve had the pleasure of marrying many, many couples and while they are all special in their own right and I feel my job a humbling privilege, there are some couples that just stick with you. These two, are one of those couples for me. Alicia + James, I had the pleasure of marrying at Paperbark in the Centennial Parklands, approx a year and a half ago. I remember during the planning phase in the lead up to their wedding they were relaxed and just happy t...o go with the flow, putting trust in me but also coming to me with ideas for how they wanted their day. On the day of their wedding I met with Alicia before the ceremony, and despite it being close to start time, she wasn’t finished getting ready but still seeming relaxed, sipping champagne and smiling from ear to ear. She arrived only a couple of mins late (which is fashionable anyway as we know ) and looked stunning as she made her entrance to her very dapper groom. James was pretty much the same, appearing relaxed even though he admitted to being a little nervous. Their wedding was styled beautifully, a boho theme with a triangular arbor and flowers. We had some laughs during the ceremony and it was the right blend of sentimental, modern and fun. I met with them a few post their wedding and again enjoyed some laughs. I got these guys and I think they got me. I think about them from time to time and hope they are having the most amazing life as they grow in marriage. I am so blessed and grateful for this job I get to do and amazing people like Alicia + James who touch my life just as much as I hope my small work does for them. I had the pleasure of marrying Kimberley and Brad in a beautiful wedding ceremony, on the golf course at @federalgolfclub in Canberra over the weekend. I was also the MC for the reception, helping to get the party started with the show game (always good fun!) and formalities, as we celebrated the love of these two amazing people throughout the night. ... It was great to work with the legendary Vinn from Ardanien Entertainment (who was pumping out the tunes all night from the decks) and incredible photographers @glenn_photographer and Timeless Creations. I also have to say the food and service from this venue was 5 stars! I hope to be back at some point in the future. A big thank you to John and the team for taking such great care of us all. 02.01.2022 Congratulations Edwina Deane Gorman (Teeny) and James Wylie (James Weeny) who became husband and wife today! And, boy do these two know how to plan a wedding, down to the oysters and bubbly to top it off. The happy couple went for a boho theme with a wedding overlooking the harbour at stunning Bottle and Glass Rocks. The brides sister, Genevieve read the most beautiful poem she wrote especially for her sisters special day, and one of James’ groomsmen read a speech. ... We included the couples ‘love story’, detailing their first encounter which could have very well been their last as the groom kicked out his bride from a house party in the early hours of the morning. Luckily there were a couple of opportunities to follow for a do-over which meant it didn’t take long for these two to realise how suited they were for each other. Both are ambitious, family orientated, share a love of fitness and after a few bad runs from the groom now love to ski, which is where James decided to pop the all important question, while tackling some of Whistlers best powdery slopes. The beautiful @zoevrachnas accompanied by @theexecutivesydney performed as both the groom and bride had separate processionals. We included a time capsule in a fun moment for the couple who hammered a box shut (swipe to see their amazing box) to seal inside; a picture from their engagement, a nice bottle of wine, a copy of their ceremony, vows and notes from guests attending their wedding. There were tears, plenty of smiles and some laughter as these two amazing people became legally wed just before 5pm this afternoon. Many happy returns to these incredible people, and thank you for including me in your special day. I can’t wait to see your professional photos when they’re ready. Such an amazing day! After losing their date to the pandemic in April last year, Taylor and Garreth finally got their big day on Saturday and it could not have been any more perfect!
