20.01.2022 HLG600R lights are in! These have several improvements over the HLG550V2R series such as an external dimmer, higher efficiency and more coverage. We're able to dial them down to under 400w per light to get around 600ppfd per 5x5ft area, which is all a pepper plant needs for vegetative growth. 20.01.2022 We just received stock of the new HLG 600 V2 R Spec lights made by @hlgusa and supplied by @quickbloomlights right here in Australia. We've been so happy with the HLG 550 V2 R Spec in our chilli grow rooms from the growth rate to the closeness of the nodes during flowering. The 600 version is both more efficient and more powerful. We're able to cover a much larger surface area at a higher hanging height because chillies only need a PPFD of about 1000 at the canopy during flowering. Stay tuned as we get these bad boys installed!

This recently pollinated flower is from our Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Chocolate. When ripe these chillies are upwards of 1.2 million Scoville heat units which is SUPER HOT. 04.01.2022 A shot of 3 out of 27 of our mother plants well underway. We've been quiet of late as we've been expanding our new indoor grow houses in preparation for the winter. In addition to the 17 chilli plant varieties we offered last season we'll have 10 new varieties for the coming grow season. For our mother plants, one grow area is using a soil mix using @generalhydroponics and our second grow area is using @canna.official products in our Coco medium. 02.01.2022 We got requests last season for Thai Chilli so decided this season to grow the long bunched variety. They're absolutely delicious in a stir-fry, curry, or Bánh mì. This plant has taken 65 days from sowing seed to the appearance of it's first fruit.
