25.01.2022 2020 has been a challenging year. This year’s RUOK? Day theme is one that really resonates with me. It is that there is more to say after R U OK? This seems to reflect what I’ve come to realise that while there is growing awareness about mental health, most people just don’t know what comes next. Part of creating a safe place in society for people to feel comfortable talking about mental health issues is for employers, company owners and other business and organisation l...eaders to speak more openly about it. But there is a step that comes after this, and we need to get educated and empower others around us to equip themselves with what’s needed to go beyond that. I’d like to encourage everyone to read the resources that have been put out this year and to help create greater maturity in society about the step that comes AFTER saying R U OK?.
