20.01.2022 #warning ##### DO NOT CLICK ENABLE CONTENT ##### There are sick people out there exploiting the #COVID19 situation!... An email is going around with COV-ID in the subject. When you open the email, there is an empty body and single attachment. If you open the attachement, it opens an Excel file and asks you to enable content. If you close the file now, you are still safe. However, they get you if you click enable content. So please note: DO NOT CLICK ENABLE CONTENT! Just close the file and delete the email. Your spam filters will eventually learn about the new content and block it, but for now stay vigilant and simply delete the email.

14.01.2022 Apple - They just make it easier!

12.01.2022 With so many people working from home, Zoom is being used for online meetings. The free version is great but only restricts you 40 minutes each meeting. So you have to pay a subscription to unlock the limitation. However, if your organisation is already using Office365, Microsoft Teams is ready for you to use right now. No extra subscriptions required, no limitations. Downlod the client and start your meeting. If your organisation is not yet on Office365, this might be the p...erfect time to take the leap. Take a look at this demo http://teamsdemo.office.com/ Then talk to our team at Sydney Cloud I.T. and let us walk you through how simple it can be. #Office365 #Zoom #MicrosoftTeams #OnlineMeetings

12.01.2022 You have to be extremely vigilant when clicking links in your emails. Do not click any links in emails from unknown senders and always make sure your computer is up to date. Sydney Cloud IT has already pushed out the patch to our clients.

07.01.2022 COVID-19 Update Our Valued Clients, The COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve rapidly, more importantly in NSW, with more cases being reported over the weekend.... The virus can be spread through close contact (within 1.5 meters) with an infected person who is coughing or sneezing. You can also get COVID-19 by touching objects contaminated with the virus and then touching your mouth, eyes or nose. At Sydney Cloud IT, our number one priority is the health and safety of our clients and staff. We have been monitoring the situation over the weekend and following the Department of Healths advice to keep a safe social distance, we have decided to take action to protect our clients and their teams. As a result, we are reducing our onsite visits over the next few weeks until the Government advises that the pandemic is under control in Australia. Only urgent/critical onsite issues will be attended to in person during this time. In the event that an onsite visit is required we will work with you to ensure this can be completed at a time that suits our mutual businesses and protects the health of all concerned. This policy will take effect immediately and will be in effect until 3 April 2020. This may change depending on how the situation develops. Our helpdesk will continue to operate as per normal during this time. You can contact our support desk via email on [email protected], via our support site on http://scit.support or via phone on 02 8004 5804

04.01.2022 HPs Elite X3 - Phone, laptop and PC in one device

03.01.2022 Throwing this one out there and would appreciate some responses. In the event that a disaster should happen to your office, is your data still protected?

02.01.2022 Data is critical to a business. Traditional backup methods are no longer enough to todays fast paced economy. A days downtime to restore data is no longer acceptable and is very costly to a business. Not to mention the its reputation. Products such as the Datto Alto provide an affordable, enterprise grade disaster recovery option for the SME market.... Do not let your data be compromised!
