The government has become a fascist regime, banning womens reproductive rights and sending its men to fight in pointless wars against countries they havent heard of. On a remote security outpost in the Peak District stands the last semblance of humanity - Two young lovers connecting for the first time, two soldiers who dream of running away and two old souls trying to find some peace in their shattered lives. Ditch is the ravaged earth of Mad Max, the dictatorship of 1984, but with a burst of humanity trying to make sense of their world. Award winning playwright Beth Steel paints a bleak, unforgiving future - but within Ditch shines light, hope and the dream the maybe the world can start again. Also, the Australian government is now providing financial incentives to international producers to film here in Australia. Director Kim Hardwick In 1988 more than one hundred arrests were made at Salamanca Market when the Tasmanian Gay Law Reform Group defied a ban on a stall that featured petitions to decriminalise sexual activity between consenting adult males in private. The arrests lit the spark for a campaign to change a law in Tasmania that was the most draconian in the Western world in terms of its penalty and, by the time of its repeal, the last of its kind in Australia. From candid interviews with the people who were there, Campion Decent has fashioned a gripping account of Tasmanias decades-long gay law reform campaign; the venomous parliamentary debates and public meetings, the individual acts of bravery and humour amidst the hurt, and the dogged march to a landmark United Nations ruling that had far-reaching repercussions in the Federal and Tasmanian Parliaments and the High Court of Australia. Honest, raw and urgent, The Campaign chronicles a communitys journey from exclusion to inclusion, from opposition to acceptance, and from hatred to embrace. 04.01.2022 PAID VOICE OVER WORK Thank you for taking my call regarding the hiring of actors for a romance novel audio-book BURNT by JD Watt. BURNT is an Australian novel set in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and is in its 2nd Edition. The novel is 63,000 words or 300 pages long and is a narration by the main character, who is a professional man in his 50s. It is peppered with a text message exchange between the two lovers, the female character is a woman in her 30s with an Italian... accent. We are seeking the following: 1. A male actor who can narrate the male role - this is the main part of the audio-book Characteristics: - Australian but not "okka" or too pompas - Deep voice, one that women will fall in love with - this character is middle aged - George Clooney esq deep, confident without arrogance, a little husky, baritone and sexy - This character is the one women fall in love with This role reads the narration and the main character text messages 2. A female actor with a slight Italian accent - this role is reading text messages and a love letter We are looking for people who are immediately available and are able to record the audio book on their own equipment in a quiet space. The actors will need to be together to do the recording and it would take one day to complete. We can supply special microphones if required. The audio file requirements will be sent to the successful actors, the requirements are fairly standard and each chapter needs to be recorded in a seperate audio file. All rights are to be assigned to the production company. Rates will be negotiated directly with the successful actors.
