20.01.2022 After a 2 year break from mtb racing, SCCs Roger Cull made a triumphant return last week at the Port to Port race in the Hunter Valley. After 192km & 10 hours of racing over 4 days - and at one stage holding the leaders jersey - Roger came home in 2nd place, just 50 seconds behind the winner. Congratulations!!

19.01.2022 Hes done it! Congratulations to club member & former SCC President, Steven Berveling who set a new Australian record on the track yesterday in Brisbane - MAS-7 Hour Record 41.850km. An incredible achievement and a deserved reward for all the training & preparation that went into this event. His next target is the World Record so watch this space

19.01.2022 Yesterday a heap of our members took part in the Turbo Studio Road to Recovery charity ride to inject $$ back into some of the bushfire affected regions south of Sydney. Over 220 riders & crew took part, riding either 110km or 200km and stopping in towns such as Shoalhaven Heads, Pyree, Berry & Robertson to spend some $$ on delicious food & drinks. A fantastic initiative, impeccably organised & enjoyed by all @ Kiama, New South Wales

18.01.2022 Yassss its good to be back!

17.01.2022 Gravel is so hot right now Last weekend some of the SCC lads secured leave passes and headed south for a weekend of beers & unsealed roads around Clyde River. Looks awesome!!

17.01.2022 SCC in the tropics Although it looks like the chilly weather has followed our crew up to Byron Bay for the annual winter getaway tour. Enjoy those cocktails everyone

16.01.2022 Two of Sydneys best known icons.

16.01.2022 Congratulations to @lizstravels who finished in 2nd place in B grade today at the first race and in the Masters Women Road Premiership series

16.01.2022 As Steven Berveling turns his focus to breaking the 1 hour World Record, he recently paid a visit to the Boardman Performance Centre south of Birmingham in the UK. A series of tests in the wind tunnel identified the optimal position & equipment for maximal aerodynamic gains. He was able to achieve a 29w improvement which translates to a speed increase of 1.78kph - Im sure wed all take that!! Interestingly, no socks gave a 9w advantage over aero socks - maybe triathletes are onto something after all? Now if only we could get a wind tunnel testing facility here in Sydney @ Boardman Performance Centre

10.01.2022 This morning a very excited young Beau was presented with his own custom built bike from TAD Freedom Wheels. This was made possible thanks to the money generously donated during SCCs Ride for a Reason in 2018. Freedom Wheels - TAD is an amazing charity building custom bikes for people living with disability who are unable to ride standard bikes. Next weekend were riding from Sydney to Broke for our 2019 Sydney CC Ride for a Reason so we can help more kids like Beau experience the joy of cycling. Cant wait!!
