08.01.2022 E6 GRAND FINAL COVID UPDATE. Due to the current COVID climate and the recent announcement by Premier Gladys Berejiklian limiting all non essential activities a...ll 6 clubs have unanimously decided to postpone tomorrow’s Grand Final fixtures to a later date. A number of scenarios were discussed to ensure tomorrows games could be played, however as clubs, we have a responsibility to ensure the safety and well being of our players, officials and volunteers. With Penrith being named as a hotspot and the proximity to Windsor, we simply could not ensure the safety of all our members. This is a decision which has not been taken lightly by any of our six clubs. We understand the frustration and disappointment this decision might cause, however with the festive season being near we feel this decision was required to ensure the safety not only of our members and the futsal community but for the greater general public. Once the current situation eases we will work in unison just like we have for the entire tournament to plan for Grand Final Day. On behalf of ELITE 6 FUTSAL CLUBS we hope you all stay safe. See more
