23.01.2022 Standing in the elevator, waiting to reach your floor. This particular lift doesn't feel stale and dull, like so many in the CBD. The wall opposite you is textured - with birds? Flowers? The perfect shade of pure cream, housed a mockingbird mid-flight with wattle clasped in her beak. The mockingbird tessellated room tessellated without flaw. She took flight with the flower nectar with thousands of her identical sisters. I was hypnotised.... The dense, still air that flowed through the ground level auto-doors clawed its way into the elevator. I'd ridden the elevator all the way back down. When did I reach my level? Inspiration can come from anywhere - just take a look around you. ___ #interiordesign #interior #renovations #interiordesignideas #style #bedroom #inspiration

22.01.2022 Stephen Ormandys new exhibition Polychromatism opened last week at Tim Olsen Gallery in Sydney... stunning colour popping paintings and resin sculptures - I wish I could visit in person! (Not possible this month unfortunately!) http://thedesignfiles.net//11/stephen-ormandy-polychromat/

17.01.2022 Think your home could be more beautiful, comfortable or even more valuable? Follow Susannes 9 cardinal rules of interior design ***... RULE #1: Less is more "Rather than jamming your shelves full of books and ornaments, we suggest a cluster/groups of 3, to create a minimal look and will freshen up any room. Adding objects of different heights and colours will give the shelves personality and a quirky look, rather than a cluttered messy look which can make the room appear smaller." *** See some of Susannes work https://insideoutside.com.au/gallery/ ________________ #interiordesign #interiordesigntips #cardinalrule #interiordesignrules #redecorating #dosanddonts #bathroom #remodelling #modernhome #homedecor #style #rulesofinteriordesign #designer #sydneyinteriordesigner #sydneyinteriordesign

15.01.2022 Have you ever walked into a room, and feel your eyes drawn to one spectacular feature? Susannes 9 cardinal rules of interior design can add some excitement to a plain or muted colour scheme! ***... RULE #2: Create one point focal point in the room which captures all the attention. "If you have a very neutral room of whites, greys and beiges spice it up with one dramatic/bold colour as the feature. Whether it be a bold pillow or painting, use some colour to give it character. This is much more cost effective using one focal point rather than having the whole room compete for your visual attention." *** See some of Susannes work https://insideoutside.com.au/gallery/ ________________ #interiordesign #interiordesigntips #cardinalrule #interiordesignrules #redecorating #dosanddonts #bathroom #remodelling #modernhome #homedecor #style #rulesofinteriordesign #designer #sydneyinteriordesigner #sydneyinteriordesign
