09.01.2022 NAATI, the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (https://www.naati.com.au ), is seeking Expressions of Interest from interested and skilled persons wishing to become an Examiner for the Kannada language. Through NAATI an individual can take an assessment of their language abilities at a community level, in both English and a Language Other Than English. This assessment is known as the Community Credentialed Language (CCL) test, and is generally t...aken by applicants lodging a points-based visa application. NAATI is now positioning to make available testing in three new languages native to regions of India, one of which is Kannada. We would be most appreciative if your Kannada community organisation could disseminate the attached advertisement regarding NAATI’s recruitment of Examiners through your usual communication channels. The full selection criteria is outlined in the advertisement found at https://www.naati.com.au/n/examiners-for-new-ccl-languages/ but most importantly it is a requirement that applicants hold Australian Citizenship or a Permanent Resident visa. We are asking interested and skilled persons who meet the criteria to submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV) to [email protected] A staged screening process takes place, and comprehensive training and support is provided to enable successful applicants to be confident and proficient in their role. All training is online, through both ‘at home - own time’ learning and group workshops, to enable applicants to meet the requirements within their own environment. 08.01.2022 FYI My friend experience shared I travelled via MEL BLR (direct) on Tuesday and wanted to share some pointers for anyone looking to travel soon. --Do not worr...y , if you could not online check-in prior to travel . They might have disabled it as they have to ensure & physically check all travel forms are filled prior to travel in airport before allocating a seat . (This was the case with me ) The forms needed are 1: DECLARATION FORM & 2: travel passenger information forms. ** They don’t ask if you have filled online or emailed the authorities **. I had a -ve COVID test report on my mobile, they do not ask for it They do a quick scan of body temperature before check-in. . ******** IN-FLIGHT EXPERIENCE ********* . Flight was absolutely clean(!!) and I did felt quite safe. They provide face shields before onboarding and they vigilantly monitor and reprimand folks if they remove them during flight or while even eating . . An adventitious lucky break, was that there were not more than 25-30 passengers in economy so this felt like almost empty with huge spaces between passengers. . There is inflight entertainment (phew) . Food is served is pre-packed with no menu options. They do serve soft drinks/fruit juices and some knickknacks infrequently. . ******OFFBOARDING experience at BLR *** They do a quick thermal scan and collect the forms. . If you don’t have a prior filled form or copy that’s OK , they provide them at the desks . . POST BAGGAGE CLAIM, on your way to exit there’s a new checkpoint wherein they ask your passport and INDIA contact number . They make an entry in system and that’s it off you go . . , They did not ask for any of the 3 * mobile apps (QUARANTINE , apthamitra or Arogya sethu) . . IF YOU ARE ASYMPOTOMATIC OR COVID NEGATIVE :- . THERE IS NO INSTITUATIONAL QUARANTINE IN BANGALORE, just 14 days of self -home quarantine and report to health authorities if any symptoms do show post your travel.
