As our members health and safety is our priority, we will wait for the all clear from the relevant authorities. In the meantime, enjoy this second quiz (as usual by Comité National de Kyudo with exception of the final question)- it is a good starting point to personal studies) Good luck and hopefully, see you all soon! #kyudoathome #kyudotraining #stayhome #seeyousoon https://forms.gle/tZaAPC3HaLS1x2tW7

18.01.2022 Looking for something to do this weekend? Head to the Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre for Cowra's Sakura Matsuri - some of us will be there again this year sharing our love of Kyudo https://www.cowraguardian.com.au//blossoms-burst-again-fo/

17.01.2022 Are you starting to miss Kyudo? We do! Time to get some at-home practice and study. The Comité National de Kyudo (French National Committee of Kyudo) is sharing some tips and program on their page and we strongly recommend to follow them! We will be sharing some ideas in the next few days and feel free to message us if you have a question.

17.01.2022 Congratulations to the New Zealand Kyudo Federation (NZKF) for their 10th anniversary! Since federating, they joined the International Kyudo Federation in 2015 and in 2017 hosted the Asia Oceania Kyudo Seminar and Examination, the first to be held outside of Japan. They held a fantastic seminar on January 25-26 this year which was jam packed with demonstrations including Honda Ryu and Heki Insai ha Ryu, an entertaining "Golden Mato" event as well as instruction from 4 instr...uctors. Good on ya Kiwis

16.01.2022 Our next introductory course will take place in April! Don't wait to sign up - places are limited #kyudo #wayofthebow #japanesearchery #introduction

15.01.2022 Lovely video coming from Canada. And I'm glad to see we aren't the only ones with little people running in the dojo Kyudo in Vancouver #kyudo #wayofthebow #stayhome #kyudoisforparentstoo #takeabreath

15.01.2022 practice session 15/11/2020 Yesterday was a short training session as we held our AGM. It was also the 3rd session of the introductory course. Thanks to all who made it to the AGM and for the great discussion & ideas. Let's keep SKK moving forward! ... #kyudoaustralia #kyudonsw #kyudo #sydneykyudokai #skk #martialarts #japanesemartialarts

14.01.2022 #throwback to the last time we saw our Sensei - October 2019. Kimonos made an appearance, friends from around Australia and even from France visited and we all left with our soul full to the brim with constructive feedback & positive spirit. Little did we know 2020 was coming around with a surprise... #skk #sydneykyudokai #kyudoaustralia #kyudonsw #kyudo #martialarts #japanesemartialarts #archery

13.01.2022 We are organising our first seminar! Gregory Stewart Sensei has kindly agreed to come teach us for two days in August and we are delighted to welcome him. Join us for a (cold) weekend of valuable teaching in a friendly atmosphere. Details are in the event but if you have any questions, just send us a message. #firstseminar #kyudoseminar #wayofthebow #sydneykyudokai

12.01.2022 Our wonderful guests and teachers have come and gone, time to build those memories into our regular training. There will be a street festival this Sunday in the surrounding suburb of our dojo so the streets will be busy and local parking will be a challenge. See you soon, peace! 12.01.2022 That's it that's it, 2019 done and dusted. None of us could bear wearing a kimono in the balmy heat but we held our first golden mato shoot today (thanks Peter for making them) and closed out the year with our traditional picnic in the park adjacent to our dojo. Kudos to Peter also for taking out the first and second mato, and Lee for the third.... See you next year, Jan 12 in 2020! We have 2 unsullied targets so might have another round to welcome the new year.

12.01.2022 With training cancelled until further notice, let's put our study caps on and practise at home. The Comité National de Kyudo has kindly agreed to let us translate and share their own home practice program. Note 1 is accessible in the Notes section. There is also a link to a pdf version at the bottom of the note, which includes the annexes. Good reading and don't forget: wash your hands and stay home.

12.01.2022 #throwback to a time we could freely move from one state to another, where social distancing didn't exist and where our Sensei could come for a seminar... This is October 2017 #skk #kyudonsw #sydneykyudokai #kyudoaustralia #archery #martialarts #japanesemartialarts

10.01.2022 Look who is now on Instagram! You can follow our new account @sydneykyudokai (link below) for practice photos and session info www.instagram.com/sydneykyudokai

10.01.2022 Christmas comes around again so soon and on December 15 we will have our final training of the year. Please join us for our final celebratory session and picnic. We will be holding a regular training which will include a Golden Mato shoot, and if you can tolerate the heat and know how to use them, please bring your kimono and tasuki.... Finally we may end with a ceremonial shot, early pack up and traditional picnic at the park outside.

09.01.2022 Back at training today... #newyear

07.01.2022 Congratulations to West Australian Kyudo Association - WAKA for hosting the first National Kyudo Taikai! Sadly, due to conflicting events, none of us were able to attend. Below are the results - well done to all!

05.01.2022 Wow, this looks great! The Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum is now available to view online! Definitely would not have been able to go to London to check it out so I guess there is a silver lining to COVID19... #kyudo #silverlining #kimono #exhibition #london #museumfromhome

03.01.2022 Here is your weekly reminder that practice does not have to be in a dojo. And let's pause for a minute to admire Miyako Sensei's beautiful Kyudo... Stay home and stay safe. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCldrq_7HTOezZ_mjGmkO6ig... #kyudoathome #stayhome #homepractice
