Responsibilities Sydney Motor Trimmers is a growing organisation and is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to learn the art of Vehicle Trimming to join our team. The apprentice undertaking this role will learn how to make, install, repair, replace or modify the seats, upholstery, linings, interior trim, roof and door linings and floor coverings of a vehicle. Vehicles may include cars, trucks, vintage vehicles, buses, caravans, trains, aircraft and boats. As an apprentice, you will be involved in removing old coverings or fittings from vehicles, re-measuring, selecting pieces of fabric, vinyl or leather, cutting to size and sewing. Duties also include fitting of trim, seat cover manufacture and repair, refitting. 04.01.2022 Volvo P1800. This one has had seat faces replaced as well and foam repair, we replaced all the bolts to tighten up the frames and re-strapped the base's too. New carpets hand made in house for a perfect fit. Re-colour of the headrests, rear seats and console with a new gear boot to finish it off.

Trimming seats, carpets, linings, convertibles and sunroof repairs are all in a days work. You may be working on projects solo or as part to a team to achieve high quality work in a reasonable time. Our 600 square meter workshop in Alexandria is just off the new M8 and central to many city services. Opportunity to grow and develop in the trade and business.
