14.01.2022 Vote on Approving the Proposed Memorandum of Understanding between SYP and MWLA Dear all Sydney Pacific athletes, coaches and general members, You may recall that in late July 2020 we asked for your feedback on more closely aligning our 2020/21 competition name to MWLA.... The level of responses was extremely encouraging, so we thank all of you who submitted your preference and additional comments. With this in mind we have incorporated the above result and moved to our next step by developing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sydney Pacific and Manly Warringah Little Athletics. Please use the associated Poll to vote for/against entering into the MoU by 5.00pm Sunday 20 September 2020. A copy of the proposed MOU is available in a link within the survey description. 06.01.2022 Welcome to the 2020-21 Season and Your New Committee Although this is belated, on behalf of the Committee, welcome to returning athletes, new athletes, dual athletes, their families, life members, coaches and friends of the Club for 2020-21. Thank you for being part of what will be a milestone year for the Club as it transitions into an exciting future with Manly Warringah Little Athletics as a OneAthletics club.... Congratulations to those of you who have represented the club since the season commenced in October, including the Club Championships last weekend. It may seem strange to see Manly Warringah Athletics (MWA) on the scoreboard and in the listing of results, whilst at the same time, wearing the uniforms of Sydney Pacific, or MWLA, or Hooked on Running. But know that the athletics community is closely watching us, as we become a large and significant force in the sport. The increase in the number of members on the Committee to thirteen, is testament to the commitment we have in supporting the growth of the Club. I welcome their energy and all of you as we create an exciting future. At the same time it would be remiss of me to not thank Cath Springall for her many selfless years on the Committee as the Uniforms Manager. Farewell, you're a star! Don't be shy in approaching me or any member of the Committee with ideas you may have, and sharing this message with past athletes or athletes you know who should register with our great club. More members the merrier! Regards Jeffrey Wrightson President
