22.01.2022 A big WELCOME back this morning at the lake from this beautiful family of Swans to the Sydney Parkside Yoga Community. It was a wonderful relaxing class with so much delight as we finally revelled in each others company again . Places are strictly limited to 7 people for our lakes edge sessions, so if youre keen for more classes (say 10.30am on selected Saturdays or Sundays) then please let me know. Softly notice the space deep in your chest; whilst breathing in and out mindfully for at least five cycles of breath. Take a moment of self compassion to simply be with whatever it is that you think, feel and sense without judgment; knowing that whatever exists is only temporary. Perhaps softly whisper to yourself what is it that you need? without needing an answer; but allowing space for what may exist in this moment. #sydneyparksideyoga #selfcompassion

11.01.2022 Hi All, COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN Further to our culture of caring for one another, the following conditions of entry are in place for our face to face sessions:... 1. Please do not attend if you are unwell, or have been experiencing flu/cold like symptoms. 2. Please maintain good hand hygiene, cover your face if you cough/sneeze and ensure physical distancing at all times (1 person per 4m squared, including when gathering together before and after class in the car park). 3. Bring your own personal equipment including yoga mat, clothing and relevant props (no loan equipment is available). 4. Sanitising hand gel will be available on site for everyones use. 5. Maximum class numbers apply (in line with the 1 person per 4m square rule; and under the maximum 20 persons per session including Instructor). 6. Contactless payment is the only means available - please arrange a bank transfer before each session. 7. All instructions will be given verbally and visually demonstrated (with no hands on assists offered). 8. Attendance records will be maintained for greater than 28 days (please ensure that you are logged as going for every class that you attend). 09.01.2022 Yoga Nidra - Friday 8pm November 27th I’m looking forward to seeing those coming virtually to Yoga Nidra tomorrow evening, however I’m also interested in knowing if anyone is keen to get back to the lake in December after this tumultuous year? Also, following is a little preparation that you can do that will go a long way in improving your experience. None of it is mandatory, it’s just some ideas that I find personally worthwhile in enriching my own experience:... 1. Mentally prepare by thinking about how at 8pm Friday you are going to slow down and simply rest. Give your mind and body permission to ‘just be’. 2. Prepare a safe and comfortable space. Arrange your practicing area so that you can lie down evenly and comfortably. If you are able to lie in a supine position on the floor (such as corpse pose) with the support of pillows under your knees, back of head and perhaps a towel rolled under your arms/elbows then that would be great. You may even wish to light a candle somewhere nearby that is safe and away from any combustibles. 3. Dial in at 8pm using the code provided by Shannon Park in Messenger just prior to the class. This code will be provided to all those who have confirmed payment. 4. Place something over your eyes - perhaps a weighted eye pillow which will support your nervous system to be at ease. You may also wish to place a sandbag/or two somewhere comfortable on your shoulders (a client/local sewer can provide these if required). 5. Make a decision to simply accept yourself and the space for what it is. It is neither good, nor bad. Be kind and sift with your monkey mind as it tries to dart off on different directions and just gently keep bringing your attention back to the sound of my voice.
