24.01.2022 Lots of customers ask us about about the safety of our pest control products around their dog. We are big dog lovers here at Pest2Kill and with a couple of simple steps, we can ensure your home is successfully treated for pests without causing any harm whatsoever to your beloved pooch. For a General Pest Treatment (our most popular service), the majority of our pest control products are applied to areas where the dog will rarely, if ever, access. This includes the roof sp...ace, subfloor, wall cavities and eaves. However, we often will carry out a full internal and external spray treatment as well. For this, we simply ask that your dog is not in the immediate environment when we carry out the spray and does not re-enter the treated areas until the spray has dried. Depending on your homes ventilation, this is usually around 1-2 hours. Some people take the dog out for a walk, others place their dog in a cage for a short time. Its up to you. The spray is odourless, colourless and tasteless so is not particularly attractive to a dog anyway but we just like to make sure. Once the spray has dried, your dog is free to roam around as they wish! 21.01.2022 Even Paradise needs pest control! Did you know that Lord Howe Island, 600km off the East Coast of Australia, is soon to undergo the largest rodent eradication of its kind on a populated island. This winter they will begin plans to completely eradicate rodents that were first introduced to the island on ships in 1918.... The large population of rodents on the island have had significant impacts on World Heritage values and have been implicated in the extinction of at least 13 animal species as well as some native flora. With much of the mountainous island inaccessible to humans, the island will be enlisting the help of a helicopter to assist with the baiting program. Itll be a tough job no doubt, but lets wish them luck in taking back this beautiful island! See more
