12.01.2022 Edward recently acquired a Samyang 135 F2 and wanted to experiment with light trails at night. Hoping to see something interesting he headed to Luke AFB, where the venerable F-35 Lightning II is stabled. As luck would have it, the moon was almost full- It would have been perfect if he were to catch a jet silhouette against the moon. While I was waiting for this opportunity which didn't materialize, I noticed the colorful lights on the runway and decided to do some starry ligh...t shots. This is a composition of two frames. 09.01.2022 Inspired by a photo Kelly saw on Pinterest. She wrapped miniature Christmas lights around a square wicker box and had the kids sit on either side, gazing at the Christmas lights. The photo was taken using just the ambient light from the box itself. The photo was intentionally edited for a softer look. This was the first time Kelly had ever tried a photo of this nature the results are amazing. Thank you for allowing us to share your image Kelly. Location: Morgan Hill, CA... Photo Credit: Kelly A. 09.01.2022 Focusing On The Foreground- Photo Meetup - Saturday the 28th of November 2020 Book your spot and see all upcoming sessions at https://sydneyphotographygroup.com.au The Sydney Photography Group session will be led by professional photography instructor Will Davies at Sydney Opera House. Sydney Opera House | 10am to 12pm | ... In a well composed photograph, one of the key components is a strategically placed element in the foreground. One key advantage to using prominent foregrounds is that it gives the viewer a sense of being there, that one could walk right into the scene. A great foreground will introduce you to a scene, and help the image to come alive. You will learn how to get the whole picture in focus? How do you add depth to a photo? Where do you focus to take a picture? Plus so much more. All skill levels welcome. As always, the professional photography instructor will be there to provide advice, feedback and tips on how to improve your photos. 03.01.2022 A fantastic location to capture a full sky of lightning on a stormy night. Lightning photography is very tricky, requiring lots of patience and luck. Luck was not needed with Kevin as he managed to captured several stunning images in this series. Unfortunately we could only share one image in this post.
