01.01.2022 BIG DAY FLYING TO COFFS HARBOUR 6 aircraft flew into Coffs Harbour yesterday for the open day today. We (Cessna 172 VH-JZJ) followed endless pristine Sandy beaches mostly at 500 feet into a stiff headwind. ... Spotted balls of fish near the shore with accompanying sharks enjoying dinner plus several large pods of dolphins. Also had reports of whale sightings. On arrival warm welcome at the Aero Club - great spot by the way - followed by dinner at the friendly Element Bar. Looking forward to brekky at the club this morning. Social Flying at its finest!
