21.01.2022 Decodable readers are my staple for children at the early stages of reading but sometimes you just need to adapt other material to suit their interests and generalise skills. Selecting words within a shared book that you know a child can manage while you read the trickier words can help engage a reluctant reader and create a feeling of success. Today we chose The Cat in the Hat as it contains lots of CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words just right for this reluctant reader :) #reading #success #sharedreading #thecatinthehat #decodablereaders #drseuss #literacy #speechtherapy

We'd love to discuss opportunities for late 2020/early 2021! #otweek #occupationaltherapy #speechpathology #rebuildrecoverreengage
