The Show will be hosted at the Sydney Superyacht Marina, a venue that was purpose-built for superyachts during the 2000 Olympics.... With new facilities currently under development, the marina is set to become a centre of excellence for the superyacht industry. Primarily a brokerage show, the Sydney Superyacht Show will feature pre-owned superyachts and luxury vessels currently for sale in Sydney. We aim to build it up to a regular and relevant fixture on the calendar. Entry is free to guests who register on arrival. Since Azimut-Benetti builds boats over 85 meters you have the most advanced superyacht systems available. This stunning yacht has a cockpit lunch setting which you can turn into a giant daybed; the flybridge tables convert to form a big lunch setting in the sky which brings a great atmosphere and lovely view.... From a distance youll see Il Viaggios signature in reverse shark-fin saloon windows, but also timeless yacht lines unlike some of its contemporaries. Other than that the 75 has the engineering to go places and remain self-sufficient for weeks at a time. On Il Viaggio there is a huge entertaining deck, the bridge has plush lounges that snake around its periphery. A second lunch setting can be made and in this way you can enjoy an eight guest-lunch in this spacious penthouse. One beautiful aspect about the 75 is the separate dedicated dining table amidships on a raised floor adjacent to the galley. Another great aspect about Il Viaggio is the practical teak flooring and the wenge joinery that, together with the white Ultraleather upholstery, create clean lines with designer accents. In the harmonious L-shaped lounge, there is a settee and built-in armchair for 10, picture windows for views, ceiling light features and stunning roman blinds, plus a 42in television. The custom dining table built from glass and wenge and can sit up to 8 guests. All cabins not only have entertainment centres but also portholes. VIPs have a double berth and en suite in the bow with opening portholes for ventilation, trick lighting, flat-screen TV, big storage cupboards and a hanging locker. As touched on, even with the generator running, there is barely a murmur in the stateroom. Needless to say, good sleeping is assured aboard the Azimut 75, with the air conditioning running 24-7. When the generator is not running, theres a heavy-duty inverter to power the boats fridges and AV systems throughout the night.

Unlike the more popular Sydney International Boat Show being held in Darling Harbour on the same weekend, the Superyacht Show aims to attract extremely well-heeled prospective buyers. Were looking at several hundred people, but they have to be the right several hundred people, says Captain Richard Morris, owner of Australian Superyachts and one of the shows organisers. Well be dealing with high net-worth individuals; CEOs, etcetera. All of the vessels on offer are second-hand - or, as they like to say in the trade, pre-owned. The total value of the fleet will be around the $50 million mark. Even the least expensive boat will set you back around $500,000. One of the most decadent vessels is Patriot; a 32.13 metre floating palace with features including a chandelier, Versace plateware, hand-laid timbers (babinga, burl walnut, and chestnut burl), Bose surround sound, and a honey-onyx lined bathroom with gold basins and cut crystal accessories from Paris. The asking price is $3.95 million. Other standouts include a Warren 75, Sunseeker 82, and a Princess 85. There will also be a couple of helicopters available to purchase and the show will exhibit a host of luxury brands such as Mercedes Benz and LOreal.
