12.01.2022 Very proud to have won this award from @sydunisport cannot wait to get back into it PREMIER CLUB OF THE YEAR ATHLETICS @sydneyuniathletics were named, get ready for it... NSW Club Champions, NSW State Relays overall medal winners, @unisportau Nationals Div 1 mens, womens and overall champions and winter premiership mens and womens champions. The club saw two Tokyo Olympic selections (Ed Fernon and Marina Carrier, Modern Pentathalon) and a further three Tok...yo Olympic qualifiers (Nicola McDermott, High Jump; Milly Clark, Marathon; Catriona Bisset, 800m). Athletes also won a World Uni Games gold medal (Catriona Bisset, 800m) and two bronze (Gen Cowie & Jess Stafford, 4x400m). In addition, the club produced five Oceania champions, 11 National champions, 13 State champions and nine IAAF World & World Para Athletics Championships representatives. 09.01.2022 In June 2017 SUAC launched #TargetTokyo, a 4 year program to provide our athletes with the best chance of making 2019 World Championships & 2020 Tokyo Olympics by establishment of a European training base. 2019 saw SUAC return to Belgium for 7 weeks providing our athletes with excellent training & living facilities and a central location for competing across across Europe.
