17.01.2022 Meet your External Events Director: Julia Nie "My vision is to enrich personal knowledge through building connections with the wider community. My goal is for SUUNS 2021 is to reach a new level of connectivity by reaching out and establishing greater relationships with a variety of individuals and societies who share the same purposes as us." Why participate in MUN? For me, MUNs are intertwining webs of the personal and the social. Not only will you be able to connect wit...h like-minded individuals and build lasting friendships, it is an opportunity to learn skills that you can apply to all aspects of your personal and professional life. Free time means I like to spend it with my family and friends. I also like to just sit by myself and listen to one of my many playlists I have stored in my music library. Me as an emoji:

10.01.2022 Meet your Treasurer: Winston Woong I want to ensure that SUUNS continues to be in a position where it can run as many events as it wishes. Additionally, I look forward to the club growing so that we can offer members opportunities to participate in multiple regional and global MUN conferences." Why participate in MUN? There's everything for everyone, whether it be really chill discussions or serious attempts at solving global issues. It's the perfect opportunity to try... new things, push your own boundaries, make new friends or simply learn more about world problems. Free time means playing Among Us with mates and participating in any recreational sport I can grab my hands on. Me as an emoji:

10.01.2022 Meet your Marketing Director: Pranav Reddy As the Marketing Director (once again hehe!), my main ambition is to highlight SUUNS to the entire world and as a whole, Model UN to the youths of current and future generations. Furthermore, at a time when we are seeing unforeseen events that forges greater mutual international cooperation, I am excited to see the growth of SUUNS its role as a championeer in promoting a global outlook on the importance of multilateral cooperation... and the role of UN in stabilising the world and aiming to achieve peace and prosperity. Why participate in MUN? For me, MUN is not just a path to gain knowledge on historical and current affairs, apart from gaining knowledge on legislations and politics, MUN also delineated my individuality to myself and helped me to shape my character, and personal and societal goals for the future, in many ways, and I feel really proud and elated on the topsy-turvy yet bountifully contented journey that I travelled so far. Free time means I would jump into all sorts of trivia, sing at the top of my voice, and even learn several languages and accents at the same time (I am a true polyglot as I speak 6 languages and understand a dozen fluently!). 08.01.2022 SUUNS wishes you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Remember to slip, slop, slap, seek and slide (on your masks) these holidays to keep safe

08.01.2022 Meet your Conferences Director: Oscar Eggleton I want to contribute to making SUUNS the talk of the town by hosting creative, exciting events that attract MUNers from all over Australia and beyond! I’d like to push the bounds of the MUN format, hosting not only UN conferences, but current and historical diplomatic conferences, as well as ones inspired by fiction - like our Harry Potter crisis MUN! Why participate in MUN? I remember my school’s debating captain once sa...ying the question isn’t why should you, but why AREN’T you already. MUN is a great way to challenge yourself, learn new skills, interact with people and build connections that will stay with you for the rest of your professional life. It’s the perfect mix of debating, politics, and university social society, with never a dull moment. Free time means in the morning, I can often be spotted getting beaten in the face at boxing training in the local park, and in the small hours of the evening, I am either practicing French by reading obscure Napoleonic history or trying (and failing) to achieve an 1800 Elo in online chess.
