I might not have an income at the moment, but I am working out ways I can keep going, like everyone else out there... . . . I have to say that since my classes have been postponed or cancelled, the support I have gotten from my students is so heartwarming. We need each other’s support at the moment, a check in, a smile, placing an order for something handmade or buying a voucher for a future gift or learning experience. Buying jewellery or attending a class isn’t really in as much demand as the humble toilet roll, but, a few people have been reminding me lately that art and craft matter, the cultural fabric of our society matters, it brings us joy and peace and sanity. The original wasnt comfortable to wear any longer due to the effects of chemotherapy, so I melted the old one down and made this one. Nothing over the top, just a simple claw set ring with a warm emerald cut stone passed down to her from her grandmother. 11.01.2022 So, heres an article written by my best friend. Shes had to go through some pretty challenging times and shes still here to tell her tale. I want you all to read the article and then watch the bowel cancer episode on Insight, SBS. I want you then to share this with someone you love. This type of cancer isnt something that just happens to people over the age of 50, Emma was 38 when she was diagnosed. If you feel like you havent been taking care of yourself, drinking too m...uch, eating rubbish food, not exercising or finding ways to relieve the stresses in your life then this might jolt you into taking the time to care for yourself. If youre over 50, do the poo test, it could save your life. If they catch this cancer early, youve got great odds. Im sharing this because it could help one person, but if you share it, you could affect many more lives, maybe someone you love dearly. I am so incredibly proud of Emma for going on the show and sharing her story. Shes one of my favourite people on this earth and I would give anything for her to have not gone through what she has been through, but thats life, you cant always get what you wish for.
