21.01.2022 Closed due to no Water... It is unfortunate that for the second time in two weeks Sylvia's Cafe has had to close due to planned Council Water works. We will reopen tomorrow from 8am to 8pm.

14.01.2022 No Cafe at Farm Stay Recieved the DA from Council and Council has approved the DA however has stated that no vehicles can turn right into the Cafe travelling West, and the vehicles travelling East can not enter by the first driveway, and are forced to complete a three or four point turn to gain access. As such, there is no point in opening a Cafe with these restrictions, as we will not recieve the amount of customers to be viable. The focus now will be on the Farm Stay and providing quality meals to our guests and their friends via our Private Sylvia's Restaurant. The Restaurant will only open by advanced private bookings for private functions only.

Sylvia's Cafe is now hiring adult staff to work between the hours of 8am and 3pm. Barrister coffee making skills and ability to following instructions in making sandwiches, and other menu items is a plus. Money handling skills are a requirement.... Please? Only apply if you really want a job. Turning down shifts, asking to finish early, turning up late to work, untidy uniform, being too precious to wash up and clean, and showing disrespect is not acceptable, and as such your employment may be terminated. 10.01.2022 Looking across our dam onto our back paddocks. We have 17 geese and 7 ducks that call the dam home. It is so peaceful just sitting down in the afternoon on the house decking with a cold beverage and just watching them swim and interact. It's just perfect...

Normally in their first season you expect just single births, but because of the amazing rich and fertile land we have here, we had five sets of twins and one single birth. This in Larmy Lamb and her beautiful daughter just moments after birth. The other is Paddy our ram. Such amazing horns...

As we have seafood as an entree, we need to make sure that the correct amount is ordered, so that everyone has an enjoyable meal.... 06.01.2022 Happy New Year to all... Sylvia's closed for the last time today for 2016. We will reopen on Tuesday 3 January. On behalf of all our staff, Alex and I would like to say a very big thank you to all of our customers, friends and family for being there during a year when there were many lows experienced. The loss of some dear friends and amazing community members has saddened us deeply. However we will use their spirit to make us stronger and to reflect on what is important in l...ife. In 2017 Sylvia's will be holding a charity fundraiser dinner and trivia night in memory of our dear friend Dr. Anthea Wright. Our hope is that this event will become an annual fundraiser. The recipient will be advised closer to the date as decided by Anthea's loving parents Margaret and Arthur. We also apologise for the delay in the opening of our new 'Food to Go' cafe. Unfortunately in us trying to support local, we have found that some local businesses "are not interested" in supporting Local. As a result we have organised an electrician from Sydney to attend to upgrading our power for our new 'open to late' cafe to open. So we let go of the best and the worst of 2016 and send our best wishes to you all for a very happy new year. Please take care.

04.01.2022 WARNING...DANGER...WARNING...DANGER For the people that have entered and taken items from 6 Quigley Street...The property is contaminated and dangerous with asbestos...Just because some items have escaped fire damage does not mean they are OK to be used...If you have taken something or know of someone who has please dispose of it. Your health is at risk...whoever comes in contact with it is at risk. Items contained in the fridge and freezer are also contaminated. ... The fence is up with warning signs to protect you. Please do not enter the property until the professionals deem it safe to do so. The best way to dispose is to return the item to the site for it to be removed safely.
