04.01.2022 PART TIME Warburton Job Opportunity for a Junior employee who thinks they may want a career in Landscaping but would love a test run +/- 10 to 15 hours a week.... Flexible on days and times. ***************************************** Do you know a young person (a junior employee) who would LOVE a job as a gardener / handyperson? (Nothing too challenging in the handy area... things like painting and general maintenance). I’m saying a Junior for two reasons: 1. I currently do this all myself because we can’t afford an adult employee for these types of tasks... thus I’m happy doing it (it’s beautiful), but, 2. A Junior is both affordable for me and gives an opportunity for a young person locally, plus allows somebody to have a non-retail type starting job. Our son has a landscaping businesses and I know when he takes on apprentices etc they often have no previous experience outdoors and don’t really know if that work / lifestyle is for them - here is a test bed We have a 1.6 acre commercial property in Warburton township. It’s a mix of garden beds, lawns, entertainment areas etc. Tasks would include: * Mowing (ride-on and hand) * Brush cutting * Leaf Blowing * Debris clean-up and mulching * Garden Bed Weeding * Watering * Weed treatment * Gutter clearing * Occasional external painting * Exterior cleaning with a pressure cleaner * Raking and sweeping paths ...that type of stuff. You (the potential person if somebody has shoved this under your nose now)... have to really LOVE gardens and the outdoors. We don’t want someone who just wants to earn a few bucks... I really want somebody who will use this to build on to other things. Sooo... if you think you want a career later on in Greenkeeping, Grounds-work, Landscaping then this is for you! Male, Female, Other - all encouraged to reach out. It’s an inclusive place so straight, gay, trans, black, white, brown... this place will welcome you Above award wages and conditions. All training provided. Happy to discuss making it a formal Traineeship for a person after an initial period together. Uniform and safety equipment will be provided. Very focussed on safety so happy to organise things like chainsaw training etc Don’t express your interest in the comments, I’d prefer you and/or your parents message me privately. That will be the first test!!!
