25.01.2022 We're ready for you at church this morning! Join Matt as he leads us in worship of Jesus, and hear from our guest preacher, Sarah, as she continues our series, 'Good King/BadKing'. We'd love to see you at 10.30am to enjoy the service with others via the Sunday Stream or watch at another time that suits you! You can find both at www.sb.org.au/watch

24.01.2022 It was so good to be back onsite on Sunday! We loved being able to sing to our God together, chat and reconnect with people who we may not have seen for almost a year. We hope to see you this Sunday at our 9am, 11am or 5pm services, and you can get your tickets via the link below. https://tickets.sb.org.au

23.01.2022 "In this passage, the term 'Counselor' doesn't mean 'therapist' as much as it does, 'strategist'." Could you do with a strategist in your life at the moment? You might want to check out Bill's message from Sunday as he talks about Jesus, the 'Wonderful Counselor'.... You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/BJ4aLSZ10WY

22.01.2022 On Sunday, Mike helped us understand how significant it is that, in Jesus, we are adopted as children of God. Maybe that's something you need to hear right now? To check out Mike's message from Sunday or share it with someone who might need to hear it, visit www.sb.org.au/watch

22.01.2022 Being jolted awake by an alarm isn’t always pleasant but it’s usually necessary if we don’t want to sleep our life away. Sometimes God sends wake up calls in our life. Again, not always pleasant, but necessary. Maybe he’s been trying to wake us up for a while? The question is, are we willing to open our eyes?... Join us this Sunday as our special guest, Sarah Beard, introduces us to King Josiah and the story of his wake-up call. Join others for church online via the Sunday Stream at 10.30am or at another time which suits you from 8am - both at www.sb.org.au/watch

20.01.2022 Join Matt for church today as he leads us in praise for our awesome God! You can watch the service at www.sb.org.au/watch anytime from now!

20.01.2022 A Thursday throwback to when our littlest kids from the various Syndal Baptist congregations would have fun together in the sandpit on Sunday mornings. We love that our kids ministry team are still encouraging kids and pointing them to Jesus online at sb.org.au/kids.

20.01.2022 When we started 2020 at Syndal, we spent 3 weeks talking about how we would make sure we all put ‘first things first’ with our time, focus and resources. Then COVID-19 happened. So what does it mean to put ‘first things first’ when our lives and routines have been turned upside down? Join us for the next three weeks, starting tomorrow, as we figure out how God might want to use this weird season for wonderful things.... Remember the Sunday Stream kicks off tomorrow morning at 10.30am at https://stream.sb.org.au/ If you haven't watched the Sunday Stream tour yet, you can check it out here: https://youtu.be/nGuRWh0c5fA

19.01.2022 "When things get hard, when things go well, when things go badly, when you are worried, when you are relieved, when you are happy, when you are sad, when you are up or you are down, when you are tempted, when you are not, at work and at play to whom do you go? Chris launched our new sermon series, 'David' on Sunday and his message was packed with challenges. We hope you can join us for part two this Sunday with Mike Riddell! Get tickets at https://tickets.sb.org.au

Our Community Care Christmas Appeal enables us to give out food vouchers and a hamper of goodies to individuals and families from the local community who might otherwise not eat at Christmas. If you'd like to donate or learn more about the appeal, just visit www.sb.org.au/christmasappeal

16.01.2022 Our sermon series 'He shall be called' will be focusing on this very special passage from the Bible and the four names given to Jesus within it. 15.01.2022 On Sunday, Chris shared with our whole church about the incredible gift it is to be a citizen of heaven, but also how it can transform our lives at work, school, home and wherever we may go. To watch the sermon and see what God might want to say to you, simply visit www.sb.org.au/watch

15.01.2022 As a new year begins, many people look back at the year that's been with a sense of dissatisfaction. And many also look ahead wondering if there is greater happiness to be found. You might feel this way, or you might know someone who does. If so, we want to tell you about a course starting via Zoom on Feb 2, called 'The Happiness Lab'.... It's a course where participants watch a series of fly-on-the-wall documentaries following twelve people as they try out various disciplines which experts often suggest help lead to a greater sense of happiness. Things such as gratitude, forgiveness and looking after your body and soul. Course participants observe these journeys and engage in a conversation about our own happiness. It's a great place to think about what happiness is and where it may (or may not) be found. If you'd like to learn more, share the info with a friend or register, just visit www.sb.org.au/happinesslab

14.01.2022 We'd love you to join us for church today! 13.01.2022 "God can do remarkable things in us when we are totally out of our depth. But he won't do it without our permission. That's why we have to choose it." Chris launched our three week sermon series 'First things first: Reframed' on Sunday. Check out what he shared at https://youtu.be/qihmodIXMcg

13.01.2022 "Yesterday, someone from Syndal brought us chicken dinners 'Made with Love'...I was so amazed and did not know who was behind the mask...I had an appointment at the cardiologist late today and the dinners were God's gift to me through everyone who helped." Over the last few months, our Cafe Cook, Desi, has been making 50-60 frozen meals every week which have been delivered by a small team of young adult guys to people who could use an extra hand or some encouragement at the m...oment. It's such a simple thing that can make a huge difference. Maybe there's someone you could make a meal for this week?

12.01.2022 Our youth group, Fuel, will be going on their annual camp this year to Adanac CYC on March 5-7. 11.01.2022 It seems everyone keeps saying how much they’ve learned from the COVID-19 restrictions. We’ve realised what’s important. We’ve realised what’s not. We’ve realised that the way they were living before isn’t necessarily the way they want to live in the future. The question is, what are we going to do about it?... Join us for our final week of ‘First things first: Reframed’, as Jonathan Stark helps us figure out how to avoid wasting the lessons learned from this season. You can tune in on Sunday at 10.30am at stream.sb.org.au

10.01.2022 Unlike most of us, Jesus didn’t just have one name - he was known by many. About 700 years before Jesus was born in a stable, God sent the world a message through the prophet Isaiah: A baby will be born, a king, and he will bear four very important names. Those names brought hope then, and they still bring hope now. Join us this Christmas season as we explore what those four names tell us about the Jesus we celebrate at this time of year.... Bill Brown will be kicking off our Advent series this Sunday. Service are available from 8am or you can join others in our Zoom Open House Church via the Sunday Stream at 10.30am Access both via www.sb.org.au/watch

10.01.2022 King David was a man who passionately loved his God. Throughout both his best choices and his worst, David’s love for God and God’s love for him was the anchor for his life. In this 8 week series, we’ll be looking into some of the key moments of David’s story and explore what we might learn as our own story unfolds. We hope you can join us onsite for church this Sunday as we launch this new sermon series.... English services at 9am, 11am, 5pm. Get your tickets at https://tickets.sb.org.au

08.01.2022 Chris will be speaking at church tomorrow as he launches our new sermon series which is all about the life of King David. We hope you can join us! Grab your ticket below.... https://tickets.sb.org.au

08.01.2022 In the age of Photoshop and Instagram, it’s hard to know when an image is real or fake. A little touch-up here or a filter there and suddenly flaws are hidden, cracks are disguised and colours are more vibrant. What happens if we take the same approach with our faith? If our life is full of touch-ups, what legacy will we really leave?... Join us this Sunday for our final week of our series ‘Good King/Bad King’ as Chris looks at the story of King Joash. Service available from 8am Sunday or join us at 10.30am to watch with others via the Sunday Stream. Access both via www.sb.org.au/watch

08.01.2022 "How many of us sleep through life? What do we miss because we're sleeping? Are we fully awake to the world around us, the opportunities we're presented with, the people we love? More than that, are we fully awake to God and all that he wants to do in and through us? What would it look like to wake up?" Still feeling challenged by Sarah's words last Sunday? You're not the only one. If you want to revisit Sarah's message before Chris wraps up our series 'Good King/Bad King' tomorrow, you can find it here https://youtu.be/JMbQdKaBcUM

07.01.2022 The Sunday Stream kicks off at 10.30am, but why not join us a bit earlier and chat with others at Open House Church? We'd love to see you there! Visit https://stream.sb.org.au

07.01.2022 "Our gifts don't come with 'conditions of use' that say "Not for use while in lockdown"...God isn't bound. He can never be quarantined. God is still at work no matter what happens. Nothing can stop it: Not prison, not persecution and certainly not a virus." Our special guest, Kylie Butler, shared a great message on Sunday and if you haven't watched it yet, you should! You can find it here: www.sb.org.au/watch

06.01.2022 Sometimes when we look in the mirror all we can see are the mistakes we’ve made, the things we’re ashamed of, our past experiences and things we wish we could change about ourselves. It can be hard to believe that change is possible, yet Jesus offers exactly that to those who choose to follow him. What might happen if you accepted his offer this year? Join us for church this Sunday as Freyja Saunderson continues our sermon series, You shall be called’. ... Service available from 8am Sunday at www.sb.org.au/watch See more

06.01.2022 Meet Viraj. Viraj is one of our amazing Community Care volunteers who faithfully serves struggling members of local community by packing food parcels.
