We feel it is important we keep business going as usual, while taking practical measures to protect the safety of all concerned. So, in addition to the cleanliness, contact and quarantine measures in place throughout Australia, below are some of the measures that we are implementing: ... OUR OFFICES Based on current advice, our offices remain open Please refrain from visiting our offices if you are unwell, have recently returned from overseas travel, or suspect you may have been otherwise exposed to COVID-19 Please book an appointment prior to attending the office At the time of making your booking we will ask you some simple questions to help us assess risks related to COVID-19 Where appropriate, we will suggest virtual meetings (e.g. phone or video conference) as an alternative to an on-site meeting We are pleased to accommodate any request for a virtual meeting BUILDING CLOSURES / REMOTE WORKING Some of our team already work effectively from home and others may do so in the near future Potentially, buildings may be closed at some stage by authorities or by our own determination Many of our internal systems, including our phone systems, are cloud based; we already have capabilities to work remotely and our services should have minimal interruption if we need to make the call for our team members to work from home HEALTH & WELL BEING Any team member feeling unwell is required to stay at home, be tested if applicable, obtain medical clearance if required, and work remotely MEETINGS / EVENTS Training and other group events will be either cancelled, postponed or moved to online rather than in person formats, leveraging the many collaboration tools at our disposal These measures are a result of abundant caution rather than any sense of panic. 18.01.2022 On the last Friday of every month we usually have a plain clothes day to raise funds for our charity, Ronald Mcdonald House Hobart. With the team working remotely plain clothes is not so novel, so we went with a crazy head-wear day instead! On a more serious note, the House has temporarily closed their doors to keep their community safe, but they still need our help to continue their mission to support seriously ill children and their families. 16.01.2022 Throwback to past EOFY celebrations! While we wont be squeezing together for drinks and photo ops this year, we ARE excited to be starting the new year by moving back to our offices! If you call in to our Devonport, Hobart or Launceston offices, you might notice a few changes - like sanitiser stations, distancing reminders, and our lack of hand shakes - but most things will be back to normal. 16.01.2022 One of our Core Values at Synectic is "Excellence". We are leaders in our profession. We focus on quality and best practices without compromising value. So, last week 17 of us went to Productivity Improvers for some serious (but fun!) Lean training. What's Lean? Their website explains it best: "Lean is the set of tools that assist in the identification and steady elimination of waste (muda). As waste is eliminated quality improves while production time and cost are reduced." Back at work this week, there's a different kind of hum. This is the sort of training you can do something with straight away, but will also have significant, lasting impacts. It's changed the way we look at things and we can't wait to share it with the rest of the team. Highly recommend!

Many clients will know Olis friendly face well as she has been greeting you in our Devonport office, connecting you to our team on the phones, and looking after you with her can-do approach to setting things straight. Incredibly practical and level-headed, during her time with us shes built her own house and explored the globe. Never afraid to get her hands dirty, shes the girl we rely on to keep things in order. 09.01.2022 SYNECTIC OFFICES TEMPORARILY CLOSING, COB Friday In light of further social distancing measures aimed at combating COVID-19, Synectic will move to remote delivery of services over the coming days. All offices (Devonport, Hobart and Launceston) will temporarily close to the public and clients from close of business tomorrow (Friday 27 March) until further notice. Importantly, we see no disruption to the delivery of services with all staff fully equipped and skilled in the use ...of a range of remote working tools. We remain fully contactable in the usual manner with no change to our telephone, email and postal mail services. Wherever possible, client meetings will be held via telephone or video conferencing, with face-to-face meetings reserved for exceptional circumstances.
