19.01.2022 Just a little insight into the logic of the ATO. To claim a deduction for self education expense, they don't pay for the first $250, but you can deduct that same $250 with non deductible expenses. Yep, we are paying them to think up those little gems!!

05.01.2022 SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS!! If you receive a call from the someone purporting to be from the "Police Association" asking for advertising in their local newsletter, THIS IS A SCAM!!!...... Beware, you will get some pretty slick talker saying you don't have to pay till August and you will be preferred by the local cops. AGAIN, it's a scam.

02.01.2022 TAX TIP FOR TODAY. Keep a note of all the travel you do that is work related. Ideally keep a log book, however diary notes will be ok if you aren't doing a lot of km's. Remember if there is a business/work component, it may be counted. REMEMBER: you can't give me too much info, whether you think it counts or not!! (however I will do my best to extract that info anyway) Please like Synergy to pass this on!!
