19.01.2022 We are following the advice of Queensland Health to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are set up for telehealth if you would prefer that to a face to face home visit. https://m.facebook.com/QLDHealth/#!/QLDHealth/photos/a.217413675033389/2846591758782221/?type=3&source=48&__tn__=EH-R
16.01.2022 We are still providing Occupational Therapy services to people on the Sunny Coast, Outer north Brisbane and Gympie. We are following the advice of Qld Health and strictly adhering to frequent handwashing, use of PPE and maintaining safe distances if seeing you at home. You can choose to be seen by telehealth if you prefer rather than face to face (by using your mobile phone or computer) in the comfort of your own home. It's simple to use and easy to set up and we will talk you through it. That way you can still receiving ongoing therapy and assessments. Have a chat with us now for more information.

12.01.2022 Today is World Autism Awareness Day. Did you know that approximately 205,000 Australians are on the autism spectrum? The world is difficult for us all at the m...oment, but even more so for individuals with autism, their parents/carers and families. The changes to routines, school closures, the impact on work, unavailability of foods/products, self-isolation and the constant overload of information is even more confronting for those on the autism spectrum. Head over to Autism Awareness Australia, they have compiled autism specific COVID-19 resources, tools and information to make managing life with autism during this pandemic a little easier. "Let us stand together, support each other and show solidarity with persons with autism". António Guterres, United Nations Secretary-General
10.01.2022 Happy OT week! We love to work with and support people to participate in activities they find meaningful and to help be as independent as possible.
09.01.2022 Understanding what an Occupational Therapist does can be tricky. What we are all experiencing now may make it easier to understand. This current situation that everyone is experiencing has taken away your "occupations", your "roles" and your social identity. An occupation is not your job.... it's everything you do.... going shopping, getting a coffee with a friend, going the gym, playing if you're a kid etc .. that has all changed just like it would if you have an illness.../ disability. Those everyday simple tasks that we take for granted are now more difficult to do. Now think of your roles.....as a mum, dad, grandparent, friend... they've all changed too. What everyone is experiencing at the moment is occupational deprivation. My job is helping people to be able to complete their occupations, gain a sense of self and look at the impact an illness / disability has on this and their roles in life. See more
06.01.2022 This week is Stroke awareness week. The most important thing with stroke is time and seeking medical attention quickly. Remember the FAST acronym. https://www.facebook.com/81740861169/posts/10158645111791170/
