25.01.2022 We have been absolutely blessed here at Wynyard Care Centre to be visited for the second time by JCP Empowering Youth from Hobart. The Give Back Team is a group of three refugee males that arrived in Australia in 2018. The boys work with JCP Youth, travelling the state giving back to people in need. The boys dedicate their time to learning about Australian Culture and helping change the negative stereotypes of young African males in the Australian Community. In addition to implementing their program, the boys speak to small groups about their program, their experiences and their life. They work with local children in their visiting areas to inspire and motivate them to participate in the activities that they initiate and drive.

23.01.2022 When the Tassie weather only reaches 12 degrees and gets stormy and snowy nearby the consumers at Wynyard Care Centre enjoy staying warm and cosy, participating in some crafts and games for the afternoon. 04.01.2022 Meet Barney our Delta Therapy Dog and his owner Alison. Barney and Alison visit our consumers fortnightly and they are much anticipated and welcomed guests at the Wynyard Care Centre. Barney is 12 years old and found his home with Alison 4 years ago, when some friends moved overseas. When hes at home Barney is obsessed with chasing balls and keeps a close eye on the donkeys in a nearby paddock. Thank you so much for your visits Barney! Pictured below Alison, Barney and Denis.
