25.01.2022 3 MUSCLE BUILDING ESSENTIALS: 1- Progressive overload; the weight you use in the gym must be increasing. Don't be the guy or girl that lifts the same weights for months, even years on end. I see it way too often, if your weights are still the same chances are your muscle mass and body composition is too! If you can't increase your weights or reps, something else must change (refer to point 2 and 3).... 2- Eating at a calorie surplus; if you are trying to gain weight and you're not, you are not eating enough. If you eat all day and still don't gain, eat more! 3- Adequate protein Intake; ask 5 people/pt's/coaches how much protein to eat and you are likely to get 5 different answers. The guys with the most muscle mass in the country recommend 3 grams of protein per kg of body weight, some say this is too high. Depending on your goals I recommend being in the range of 2.2-3g per kg. If you focus on these 3 points, results will come!
24.01.2022 After lifting weights, assessing my progress constantly, spending thousands on supplements and always prepared with my next meal over the past few years, I really feel now I have re-discovered the fun side of the fitness industry... I've still been lifting weights a few times a week but also doing the 9Round sessions, and jumped into a group PT tonight with the snap trainers! My energy levels are through the roof, and I feel like I can do so much more with my body than just l...ift heavy things! It's a journey, and mine at this point in time is heaps of fun, who can not like that!!
20.01.2022 I drink a lot of coke zero when I'm dieting, it allows me to have something that tastes sweet, makes me feel full, and the caffeine helps with the hunger feeling that inevitably comes from such a low body fat %. A can is something like 1 calorie! I'm sure "government dietary recommendations" don't include coke zero, and there's lots of literature that's says artificial sweeteners work like sugar when spiking insulin, but there is also a fair bit of literature that states the... opposite. My own experience with and without this as part of my diet has no effect on fat loss/gain. I'm sure it causes cancer or something similar, but hey, abs are abs!
20.01.2022 The best thing about the 9Round workout is how awesome you feel after it! I am wrecked after tonight's session but the endorphins are flowing!!

Sometimes it can be fun to push people through that pain barrier, and help them find energy and mental strength they didn't know they had. 10.01.2022 In the first photo, I couldn't care what my body looked like, or who thought what of it. By the time I got to the second photo I did care and worked hard on changing my body to what I imagined it could be. My new mindset: have the work ethic of the second photo, but keep the "I don't care" attitude from the first photo!

05.01.2022 This is what makes a good personal trainer valuable. Diets and programs are easy to attain, and both should be pretty straight forward. The challenge is the consistency and attitude towards these new guidelines. Often a new fitness goal turns into a soul searching, revolutionary experience, and that is why this industry is so awesome!!
