22.01.2022 YIPPEEE.....THE HOME RENO GRANT IS BACK !!! The NT Government today announced their stimulus package for Territorians and it includes a Home Reno grant up to $6k and a Business improvement Grant up to $10k........They are still nutting out the details and it will be a week or 2 before it is live, but what we do know is - Under the scheme, owners of residential and investment properties will receive a $6,000 grant for renovations if they contribute $2,000 of their own money.... Under the Home Improvement Scheme, owners will also be able to spend $1,000 to a get a $4,000 renovation grant. Eligible businesses will get an initial $10,000 grant for upgrades, and another $10,000 if they contribute $10,000 of their own money. Speaking of energy have you seen the NT Governments new Smart energy grant? ... Territorians are able to access energy-efficient initiatives for their homes through a new $4 million Smart Energy Grants program. The Smart Energy Grants, are provided on a 50-50 co-contribution basis, for up to $1,000, to help owners of residential or investment properties undertake energy efficiency measures to their homes. For approved eligible members of the Northern Territory (NT) Pensioner and Carer Concession Scheme, the co-contribution required will be 25% (instead of 50%), making it more affordable.
