25.01.2022 The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber was one of the first business book's I read & I connected instantly to the theory of creating systems. I didn't want to 'be the business' or create a job. I ardently loved what I did (remedial massage and exercise & sport science) & loved helping people, however I didn't want to feel like I was chained to the business. I had a desire to travel, have holidays & spend time re-energizing my mind & body so I could provide a service of excell...ence to my clients when I was working. I also wanted to ensure that if I was sick, my clients didn't miss out on their treatment. After reading The E-myth, I understood I could help so many more people by creating systems which would support growth by having multiple practitioners. I had a vision to have 3 clinics in Adelaide - which was realised & the systems enabled this to happen. The investment of time & energy in creating the systems also paid off when it came to selling the business. If you haven't read The E-Myth yet or haven't read it for a few years, I'd highly recommend brushing off the dust & having a refresher.
