25.01.2022 We have just read pages 48-49 of today's Advertiser about the recent collapse of several building companies in SA. It saddens us to see the effect this can have on so many people. Unfortunately, these stories have cast a lot of doubt into prospective new home builders minds as to whether they are choosing the right builder to build their home. In the final paragraph the advice was to "Do your homework and pick a builder that's been around for a long time".... Next year, we are proud to say will be our twentieth year as residential builders. Our philosophy is, and always has been, to build superior quality homes that we can be proud of. We realise that without quality staff, subcontractors & suppliers we would not succeed. We are so fortunate to have such a fantastic team of talented people working alongside us who have been with Phillips Builders right from the start. They are an important and integral part of our business. But it's not all doom & gloom in the building industry. We are proof of that. We continue to employ apprentices as we are confident in the future of our business. Many of our sub-contractors also employ apprentices, this has positive flow-on effects within our local area. Our gorgeous daughter Hayley Hughes (below) has decided to sacrifice her lovely hair in support of the Leukaemia Foundations 'World's Greatest Shave' fundraiser Hayley wanted to give back to the foundation that has helped (& is still helping) her loved ones through some very tough times. Her grandfather Geoff Leverington was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2013 & thanks to treatment has been in remission ev...er since. Hayley's aunty is currently being treated for acute myeloid leukaemia. She spent time at the Leukaemia Foundation's SA village last year & is so grateful for all of the help & support she received there. Hayley made the decision to take part in this years fundraiser.and set up the 'Mad Hueys' team. Levi Maddern & his dad Dave decided to participate too as Levi sadly lost his great grandfather to leukaemia before he had the chance to meet him. I know it takes a big heart to chop off all of your hair (especially for a female and one that loves her hair). We are so proud to sponsor you Hayley. 19.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we have learned of the tragic death of our colleague Ron Selth in the devasting Adelaide Hills fires on Friday. Ron was the engineer on the first house we built in 1992 & we have had the pleasure of working with Ron ever since. His vast knowledge, experience & friendship will be sorely missed. I enjoyed our last Coopers Sparkling ale with you Ron & will think of you whenever I have another. Our thoughts are with Ron's family, friends & work colleagues at this sad time. Vale Ron.

This is the first home we have built in the rapidly growing hills town of Meadows. This wonderful family home is in the new Hayfield Estate. Our clients, Michael & Julia, chose this area for its easy commute & proximity to the city as well as the benefit of country living for their young family. You can see a lot of planning & thought has been put into ...this home. Featuring four bedrooms, (three with their own walk-in robes), main bedroom with ensuite & a games/study room between the two kids rooms. There is a well appointed main bathroom as well as a stunning guest powder room. Their custom designed kitchen includes an impressive Butler's pantry & two ovens for Julia to put her culinary skills to work. The kitchen, dining & family room enjoy plenty of natural light and open out onto a large alfresco area. The front entry features a cathedral ceiling with the living room adjacent. They were referred to us by someone that has worked in the building industry for many years for major building companies whose advice they trusted. ... Fortunately their build had not started so we were able to offer Jake & Samara some custom options including full height (2700mm) tiling to their bathrooms & stone kitchen benchtops.
