I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right so I decided to have a chat with @dr.raf.chiro to ask him for some advice. Then we decided to make this video to share with you all his tips.... Here’s what he said: -Hip-width stance with toes pointing slightly out -Hands just outside hips -Full grip on the bar -Straighten your back by raising your chest -Start moving your hips back while bending your legs -Bar moves over the middle of your feet - that’s also where the load should be concentrated -Shoulders slightly in front of the bar -Lower back curve maintained during the movement -Hips and shoulders rise at the same rate -Maintain your heels down -Complete a full hip and knee extension without locking the joints When we do deadlifts in the right way, we activate several muscles, more for the back than the legs when compared to the squats.
