25.01.2022 Yesterday we socially isolated and celebrated a birthday for one of our wonderful nurses, Selena. Many thanks to the two people who brought in cake!

24.01.2022 Wishing everyone a happy Easter. Remember to stay safe, stay at home unless essential to travel, keep the social distancing and wash your hands! Thanks for all the support in this challenging time as we adapt our processes as well.

22.01.2022 We hope you are enjoying the long weekend and staying safe! Remember to call rather than come in if you have any respiratory symptoms. We also still have some influenza immunisations available- it's never too late to be immunised! Call 4162 3116 for appointments.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our star registrar Dr. Lawrence Ma for passing his written fellowship exams with one of the top marks in Australia!

21.01.2022 Keep this app running to be notified if you have come into contact with someone diagnosed with COVID,

19.01.2022 Taabinga Family Practice are committed to continue to 'flatten the curve' but still provide quality health care. We are continuing to offer telephone or video calls to our at risk patients, to minimise the potential exposure to Coronavirus and other illnesses. We are also trying to protect our health professionals, so that they remain well for when we need them. If you have symptoms of a cold or flu, we still encourage you to call us for an appointment. It may be safer for us all to do this over the phone. If you need a medical certificate we can provide this for a fee without seeing you face to face.

18.01.2022 From today, everyone is eligible for bulk billed telephone or video appointments. Please call reception to organise a time with one of our doctors.

18.01.2022 Nice work, Queensland! Because of your great work in following good hygiene practices, socially distancing and getting the flu shot, flu numbers this year are s...ignificantly lower than what they have been in the last five flu seasons and are 84% lower than this time last year! Research suggests that Queenslanders have greatly improved their hygiene practices, which has helped to stop the spread of flu in our community.

17.01.2022 It is fluvax time! We have influenza vaccinations available at the moment. We can't protect you from COVID-19, but immunisation is the best defence against the flu. Please call 4162 3116 for an appointment - we are still trying to maintain social distance, so this is important to make sure we don't have too many people at once. Remember to keep hand washing!

13.01.2022 There is a new outbreak of COVID19 in the Greater Brisbane area. While this doesn't affect the South Burnett directly, we are concerned with the ongoing safety of our patients and staff. Effective Monday, 24th August, the following processes will be in place. - All people will be offered a mask on entry to the practice. - Video and phone consultations are the preferred method of appointments... - If you have been in the Greater Brisbane area, or in close contact with someone in the Greater Brisbane area, please advise staff prior to entering the practice. - Patients with respiratory symptoms or fever are still requested to avoid entering the practice, and to call from the car park if it is required that they be examined. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe, our staff included. Appointments are still available, and our doctors are happy to help. Contact us on 4162 3116 for any clarification or to schedule your phone or video consultation!

08.01.2022 Fluvax clinic this morning. Appointments (and vaccines!) available. Call 4162 3116 for an appointment!

08.01.2022 Please remember if you have any cold and flu symptoms (fever, cough, runny nose) to call the practice rather than come in - a telehealth (phone or video) consultation may be available. Staying home helps us all to remain well - we love seeing everyone, but want to keep our staff well so that we can continue to provide top quality care.

07.01.2022 Farewell cake for Dr Sasa today, made by the talented Jean-Mary. We wish her all the best in her future. Thanks Dr Sasa!

04.01.2022 Grief course alternative to face to face. Remember to stay safe, avoid going out unless essential, maximise distance between people when you go out and wash your hands. We are also offering phone and video consults where possible and we do have fluvaxes available now - call for further information
