With beautiful binding and stunning illustrations, this book is ideal for kids who enjoyed Morris Gleitzman's "Felix and Zelda" series. We gave it to our favourite young reader and she said, "...a roller coaster of emotions. My new favourite novel..." Ceira (11).

22.01.2022 Hello everyone and welcome to another week. We hope you and yours are finding ways to get through the COVID-19 pandemic with your sanity intact. We are still open! Of course, we adhere to the social distancing rules, so there can be absolutely no more than 20 people in the shop at any time. (In my dreams...even at Xmas we don't get that many customers at once!). Most of our suppliers are also still operating, meaning re-supplies and special orders are still coming through.... So if your tired of binging on TV, or the lawn's been mowed to within an inch of its life, don't forget books and games as a way to while away your social isolation hours/days/weeks. 15.01.2022 Tableland Books is open. In store: No problem with the 4 m2 per person rule. We’d need more than 20 customers in the store at one time to exceed the limit. At the moment you’ll likely have the shop to yourself. We are cleaning and/or disinfecting communal surfaces regularly (serving counter, EFTPOS machine, door handles). Weather permitting, we will leave the door open so you don’t even have to touch the door.... We are observing all sensible personal hygiene practices including regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser. Remote purchasing is available. Buy your book over the phone then come to the store. Call us from your car or knock on the door and we’ll bring your books out to you. Delivery: You can choose to have you books delivered via Australia Post (regular AusPost rates apply). We are happy to take orders or enquiries via phone, facebook, or email, if you are not comfortable visiting us in store. 12.01.2022 With the prospect of an indoor Easter looming, it might be wise to bypass the sugar-hit of an Easter egg and give the kids something to do instead. Feed their brains with books, activity books and jigsaws. We have something for all ages and all interests.

07.01.2022 What are you reading at moment? One of my oldest customers dropped in his copy of a Philip Kerr omnibus of Bernie Gunther books for me last week. Gunther is a private investigator in Nazi-era Germany. The books have a strong "noir" feel, reminiscent of classic 40s and 50s crime movies. I'm loving it so far! - Iain
