13.01.2022 We’ve been very busy over the past few weeks completing our grafting. All of our trees are grafted by John and Renee, and are then put into our hothouse before being hardened off and grown out in the nursery. In this video, John walks you through the process of grafting, and you can see what a ‘whip and tongue’ graft looks like. ... If you are after a tree that’s suited to our unique Snowy Mountains climate, then you can’t go past anything that’s been grown locally! 12.01.2022 Happy Saturday. We hope you get out in the garden today!

09.01.2022 We’ve employed a new helper to keep things neat and tidy around the nursery. He’s a quiet little thing, and his sensors are pretty good at telling him when to turn around or avoid things - BUT, we just weren’t too sure how he’d go with power leads (and we didn’t want to find out either!) so we got creative... www.tablelandsnurseriesonline.com #gardeningonthemonaro #garden #gardening #gardeninspiration #gardentovisit #gardenlife #gardens #plantbased #plants #nuseryplants #houseandgarden #cottagegarden #countrygarden #farmhousestyle #growyourown #growfoodnotlawns #grow #growyourownfood #growinthesnow #monaro #cooma #snowymountains #snowymountainsnsw #summerinthesnowies

07.01.2022 This spring we have noticed a lack of bees in the garden! We think that their hives must have been burnt or smoked out during the bushfires :( We do however, have these little guys flying around and from our research, we think that they are Hover Flies (Pretending to be native bees!) Can anyone help us confirm this? ... We are trying to source a bee hive or two for the nursery to help with our Spring pollination and would love to hear from anyone who may be able to help us out! www.tablelandsnurseriesonline.com

03.01.2022 What’s happening here?! Who can guess what we are up to at the nursery at the moment?! Here’s a little clue for you ... Www.tablelandsnurseriesonline.com

02.01.2022 Did you know? The Male flowers of the Hazelnut are called catkins? These stunning, dangling yellow catkins are produced in late winter/early spring. These are the male parts of the plant that contain the pollen necessary for fertilising the female flowers (and ensuring a good crop). The tiny female flowers are held at the branch tips and on a windy day, the pollen wafts to the female flowers. Hazelnuts are exceptionally hardy, putting up with both wet and cold winters. www.tablelandsnurseriesonline.com
