May become a bench seat with black steel legs. Also check out my new ceiling mounted electrical leads to keep them out of the way when operating sled.... 21.01.2022 An Australian Hardwood contemporary bench seat under construction. Timber is either Vic Ash or Messmate. Most likely 60-80 years old, the timber was wall studs. It showed evidence of horse hair plaster but also plaster stud glue which means part of the house was renovated or added to later.... This timber was rough sawn but after using 36, 80 and 120 grade sander belts on it, it is virtually brand new looking timber - but still has an 'old character' to it. Previous similar bench seats such as this have sold before completion. At this stage, the top has NOT been cut to length - so get in quick and YOU determine its length. It can be up to 2000mm long. It is approx 300mm wide and 450mm high. It will be coated in clear matt polyurethane. Looks like firewood but years of aging disappear with some serious machining to reveal timber as good as it was in the 1960s... Assembling the legs. Made entirely from reclaimed Vic Ash floorboards and coated in clear matt, it will house Harveys book collection.... 2. A timber/steel bench seat for Amy Louise. Made from old heavy roofing timbers that have been flattened with the new router sled and featuring 40mm SHS legs sprayed Matt black. Timber will be finished in clear matt. .
