25.01.2022 ***EDIT- We're fully booked for Christmas Eve orders - but you can get in early for New Year's Eve orders now*** One last reminder that you can order all the fresh, seasonal and local vegetables, fruit, meats, treats, cheeses, bread and more that you need delivered on Christmas Eve! Orders closing at 4pm today. This week we'll be loading the Pods with classic veggies to go with any Christmas roast, as well as some great salad ingredients if you're planning a cooler festive feast. Subject to any issues with availability, there will be apples, bananas, beans, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, lettuce, potatoes, pumpkin and tomatoes. The two larger sizes will also have fennel and leeks.
25.01.2022 Move over whole-roasted cauli! Bring on the broccoli! We'll be packing broccoli in this week's Produce Pods so get your order in and then give this one a crack...
25.01.2022 I caught up with Mark from Teven Valley Farm this week to talk all things custard, ice cream, ducks and goats. As you do! Luckily for me there was some taste testing as well - research purposes of course! Mark makes the most sublime ice cream and his new espresso martini flavour is just fantastic. The stout flavour is always a winner, and his surprise tip is that it goes really well with Christmas pudding! Have a read and get to know Mark, and then maybe order a tub of something delicious with your Christmas order!
23.01.2022 What a lovely bunch of... no, not coconuts, carrots! Orders are open for this Friday's delivery of fresh, local produce that's in season now. Get your order in by 4pm Tuesday for delivery on Friday.
21.01.2022 We stock Debbie's cultured butter. Just saying! Cheeses Loves You butter rocks!
20.01.2022 Apologies, but we have reached full capacity on orders of Produce Pods for this week so we've had to close orders early. But we are now taking orders for delivery on New Year's Eve, so please head over to our website so you don't miss out. A huge thanks to all our customers and all our producers for the amazing support
20.01.2022 The latest brew on stock from Wandana Brewing Co. Can't go wrong with a perfect Pilsner on a summer day! We've got it on special to encourage you to give it a try. Orders for delivery every Friday over on our website.
17.01.2022 Our monthly newsletter landed yesterday, and we shared our regular wrap-up of things to do. Given there are no major events in the Northern Rivers right now - and I think we’re ok with that - we shared some tips on simpler pursuits, often things we wouldn’t have contemplated pre-COVID. Think circus, trains, picnics, surf and art!

16.01.2022 Stay relaxed - I'll go to the markets for you! Orders for delivery of this week's Produce Pods are open now. It will be a fresh and light Pod to counter-balance that Christmas pud! We'll be packing bananas, beans, carrots, cucumber, lettuce, potatoes, pumpkin, spring onions, tomatoes and watermelon. The larger sizes will also have capsicums and corn. Orders close Monday at 4pm, because we're delivering on Thursday (New Year's Eve).
13.01.2022 Who loves day light saving? I do, that’s for sure, and not just because it means summer is coming fast! What I love about turning the clocks forward is that it coincides with the return of lots of the fruits and veggies we all love to eat. There’s something about the lightness and vitality of the produce that starts coming through in warmer months that appeals. Nature’s way of balancing the heft of winter. Check out what's looking good locally in October.
12.01.2022 Continuing my theme of what-to-do-when-you've-got-plenty-of-eggs-in-the-fridge, this caught my eye. Egg noodles! Like zoodles only better! Think I might have to give this a try... (BTW, we shared a post over on Instagram extolling the virtues of freezing eggs. It works a treat!)
12.01.2022 A twist on tradition. It's no secret that I love tempeh. I think it is delicious and hugely under-rated. I love the sound of tempeh made from macadamias in particular! Would be fascinating to have try. Here in the Northern Rivers, Sarah and Luc at Byron Bay Tempeh already make tempeh with a twist. No soy beans in sight. Their three flavours of tempeh are made with fava bean and wakame; chickpea; and split pea and brown rice. We usually stock the chickpea for it's mild flavour, but if you're feeling adventurous, give the wakame a go!
07.01.2022 Orders for this week's Produce Pods are now open. We'll be delivering Pods with with apples, bananas, beans, broccoli, capsicums, carrots, celery (larger size pods only), onions, potatoes and zucchini this week, so get your orders in by 4pm Tuesday, and I'll see you on Friday!
07.01.2022 Regenerative agriculture is something you might have heard local farmers and producers (and me!) talk about. If you're keen to learn a little more, here's something you might like to watch. Some long weekend viewing!
07.01.2022 Play with your food! Here's some great ideas to try a different take on everyday veg. I like the look of that Japanese onion dressing...
07.01.2022 We're a few days into the school holidays so I thought it was worthwhile re-sharing the post from our last newsletter about things to do in the region. The great thing about this post is that the tips are just as good for October as they were for September!
03.01.2022 I read recently that one of the central reasons for the longevity of many Japanese people (especially in the much-documented Blue Zones region of Okinawa) is the huge variety of fruits and vegetables they eat in an average day. As high as 30 different types according to some research. How about you?
03.01.2022 Each month in our newsletter we feature one of the great Northern Rivers producers we work with. This month we turned the spotlight on Matt and Ash from @Barefoot Farm Byron, who saw a silver lining in the clouds this year. Their decision to close Eltham Valley Pantry means they have a new focus, one that seems to suit them down to the ground. Have a read and get to know them!
