22.01.2022 Hi All, A quick update, papers have been served on SAPOL and a preliminary hearing date has been set for 10am on the 11th of December. Lets get this show on the... road and remind SAPOL and the ministers supporting this who they work for, the tax payer. Time for the bureaucrats to focus on real issues they are employed by us to do and stop them working outside of the laws they are there to enforce. 21.01.2022 This one man is responsible for the loss of hundreds of jobs in SA. He is unelected and can not be trusted. UPDATE - We should clarify here it is the existing... firearm legislation and how it may be interpreted that has lead to the gel-blasters being classified as firearms. The Liberal Party police minister's failure to intervene in the SAPOL decision to classify gel-blasters as firearms shows they either don't care or agree with the reclassification and wont lift a finger to stop it. As far as we know not a single one of the 69 incumbent members of parliament from any party spoken up or done a thing about it. If we had members elected every one of them would be working to keep gel blasters legal and unregulated. The Liberal Democrats are a party of minimalist government and reduced regulation. If elected we will NEVER vote to reduce your freedoms.

Howard saying "Gel blasters are toys not firearms" less than 12 months ago, then you will hear the same guy d...eclaring on ABC radio yesterday that "Gel Blasters have always been firearms". Which is it then & where is the accountability of SAPOL to the players & the Industry ? 17.01.2022 Part of the recent reform (https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au//firearms-reforms-to-p) on the Federal Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956 we've been... invited to provide a submission for the sport of Airsoft. For those that are not aware, the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956 is the only legislation that bans Airsoft in Australia. There is no specific State / Territory legislation on Airsoft. We've provided our submission and asked for the following changes: 1. Change in terminology: Airsoft devices, instead of soft air rifles / handguns; 2. Treatment of Airsoft devices as imitations instead of firearms; 3. Mandatory coloration on importation (i.e. orange barrel tip); 4. The same importation test applied to all Airsoft devices, regardless of appearance and /or functioning; 5. Introduction of a new importation certification test to facilitate red tape reduction; 6. Subsequent low-level changes to facilitate implementation of the above proposal. Please feel free to lobby your Liberal Senator / Federal MP so that the changes we asked for actually get implemented.
