25.01.2022 Absolutely Also I love the Cane Corsi in this pic

23.01.2022 Stabbed to death with a broken bottle, as we've stated many times before many everyday objects can be improvised into weapons, in this case a broken bottle into a knife that has been used to stab someone in the heart and killed them, it is important that people are aware of what is around them and the potential for those things around them to either cause them harm or be something they themselves could use to defend themselves with Our condolences go out to the victims family and friends

16.01.2022 We posted this 2 days ago, today we give our choices and the reasons behind them choices Our choices and reasons for them are as follows: C - Situational awareness, this will ALWAYS be king, by being aware you can mitigate and reduce risk, evade and escape before their is even a problem, you win every fight you are not in, if a situation unfolds and you are aware of what is happening and of your surroundings you van start formulating escape plans to increase your chances of s...urvival or read when it may be better to pre-emptively strike, being situationally aware also makes you a much more unattractive target to predators B - Martial arts, of for whatever reason you haven't seen a situation unfold or haven't been able to evade and escape due to circumstances then being able to defend yourself is your next best option, knowing how and when to act and to be able to disable an attacker no matter what your size or fitness level tohelp increase chances of survival and reduce risk of injury, now we are not talking MMA fighting, shaping up etc but learning true realistic self defence, the use of deception and feigning compliance, using surprise and speed from the feigning compliance and violence of action to catch your attacker by surprise and overwhelm them and break their OODA loop, to be able to quickly and effectively either distract or incapacitate them to either buy time to escape or make sure if you can't escape that they are unable to hurt you D - Medical, post incident there is a likelihood you have sustained injury or caused injury to your attacker, depending on the circumstances you do have duty of care within reason to your attacker too, firstly you need to be able to render first aid or trauma care to yourself, if you've had to use your martial arts to escape it's no good to die from bleeding out post incident on the way to the hospital A - weapons, we have put this last for a few reasons, as a civilian they are a luxury depending on circumstance and law where you live, if you have drawn a weapon pre-emptively because you can't evade or escape great but many attacks happen by surprise and in an ambush attack managing to draw a weapon under stress and without a lot of training is slim, furthermore to that there are many considerations to take into account with weapons from legalities and use of force to say if you use a firearm knowing your back drop and taking things like penetration of the projectile and ricocheting of the projectile into other nearby innocent people, weapons simply can't be relied upon as always being there and in your hand

15.01.2022 Happy new year, it has been a challenging year for us all, some of us saw opportunity and found ways to prosper, some managed to get by and many struggled with job losses, growing debt and increasing demands, the world in 2020 has changed as we know it and will be a year we won't ever forget, we have learned many lessons like many jobs really don't need an office you have to spend an hour to get to and from, time with family and loved ones is important and should be cherished..., that material things mean less than meaningful relationships and that we really need to return to simpler ways like growing our own food, to all who have prospered I am glad you managed to find a way, to those who have struggled I hope you find your way and to those who have suffered I hope life does improve, let's hope we can take these lessons learned from this challenging year and forge a better life for ourselves and a better world for us all moving forward If you are heading out tonight please stay safe, look after your selves and look after each other, may 2021 be a much better year See more

15.01.2022 Choose empowerment over victimhood, choose to change your mindset to one of a winner, of a survivor, choose to be stronger and better

11.01.2022 I can relate to this lol

09.01.2022 A lot of importance in realistic self defence lies very heavily in the basics and soft skills over hard skills, moving to hard skills means you have likely missed cues from the basics such as situational and distance awareness or failed with the soft skills such as your communication Many people want to jump into the hard skills and they want to go to the more advanced things like weapon use, retention and disarms, yes that stuff is great fun but realistically what are the ch...ances you'll ever have a knife to your throat or gun to your head? More than likely you have already had experience with and will be confronted with social violence where the use of soft skills like conflict management and resolution and basic skills like footwork, cutting angles and keeping distance will keep you safe and defuse and de-escalate the situation long before ever having to use your hard skills Always remember you win 100% of the fights you are never in so your best option is always to evade and escape first and foremost followed up by managing conflict and then physical interventions as a last resort See more

05.01.2022 On reading the article it is quite apparent measures needed to be taken to deal with the teenager however putting a person who isn't making threats and a risk of violence into a rear naked choke and knocking them out then dragging them out while they are unconscious isn't either the most professional or appropriate response either, some options could have been restraint and ejection, posting guards up by the back fence to deter the teenager from jumping the fence again and if the teenager continued to be troublesome to call police

05.01.2022 Great use of a stomp kick here, stomp kicks can be great for stopping people charging towards you as seen here

04.01.2022 The golden rule of tactical first responder trauma care: Use the acronym MARCH M... Major hemorrhaging: if there is spurting bright red blood or massive bright red pooling of blood get that tourniquet on ASAP, remember high and tight, you want to push that artery against bone and occlude the bleeding A Airway: check for breathing, tilt the head back to open up the airway, if they aren't breathing get that NPA in R Respiratory: check for sigbs of respiratory distress, look for a hole, patch it up leaving a side open to create a vacuum allowing them to breath C Circulation: check for any other massive bleeding, don't let them bleed out slower from another injury, pack wounds with hemostatic gauze, apply pressure bandages, use shirts or anything you have if it is all you have H Hypothermia: due to shock and blood loss their body may lose the ability to regulate its own temperature and warm them up so guess what, that is your job too, throw a blanket on them, use little heat packs under the blanket, use your own body and its warmth

04.01.2022 It is a shame we don't have such a large and strong culture like this towards firearms in Australia

03.01.2022 Whenever a knife is in play distance is always your best friend, the more of it the better, don't be afraid to use objects like bags to help block and keep distance or use barriers like park benches, cars or tables. In the event you can't leave, keep distance or grab a tool to use then you need to take control, control the weapon arm and create damage to render the person unable or unwilling to hurt you and then take the opportunity to leave, the use of edged weapons is a potential deadly force encounter and NEVER to be taken lightly
