16.01.2022 Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket. Never let it fade away. A week ago today we lost our queen Denise Pelusey (my Mum) and our baby boy Zeak Pelusey-Boxall (my nephew) in a tragic car accident. I can’t find the words to describe how profoundly my family is feeling this loss, so I’ll let photos do the talking for a little while.... I have a lot of photos of Zeaky (because who could resist photographing that beautiful little face?) but very few of Mum and that’s not for lack of trying. Despite being one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever known, she’s always shied away from my camera. But by some miracle, I happened to wear down her defences and she agreed to model for me just one week before the accident. I never could have known that first time would also be the last, and how much these photos would end up meaning to me. My beautiful, strong and passionate mother, I’m sorry I don’t have the words yet to describe what you mean to me, but they’ll come in time. I am your daughter after all
