25.01.2022 The Australian fire and land management agencies recognise the Course in Basic Wildfire Awareness as the minimum requirement for non-firefighting personnel who provide support services at wildfires or at planned burns. This course provides the outcomes required to recognise the key risks of a wildfire or planned burn environment and the related precautions that need to be taken to avoid these risks for non-firefighting personnel, working under supervision in support roles at wildfires or at planned burns, or people who may encounter wildfires or planned burns in the course of their activities.
