25.01.2022 Here is one of our past Cert IV Screen & Media graduates Jack Burns on the set of the UK production of I'm a celebrity - get me out of here. Here's what Jack had to say about our Cert IV Screen & Media course - 'Lismore TAFE's certificate IV Screen & Media helped me understand the work ethic and practices necessary for working in a professional film and TV industry. Since graduating I’ve worked on large international reality TV shows, television commercials and observational... documentaries. I started in the industry as a Production Runner and since have moved into Camera Assisting and Data Wrangling with the goal to become a Camera Operator / Shooter Producer.' With several large film and TV productions scheduled to be created in the Northern Rivers over the next few years, there has never been a better time to get skilled up for the local screen industries. At TAFE NSW - Lismore we offer Cert III, Cert IV and Diploma of Screen & Media. These courses help develop the knowledge and skills you need to work in a variety of screen production roles. Check out our website or call 131601 for more information or to enrol today. https://www.tafensw.edu.au//Certificate-IV-in-Screen-and-M RTO: 90003

11.01.2022 Julie De Lorenzo will be exhibiting in 2020 VISION, the TAFENSW- Lismore Advanced Diploma Graduation exhibition from tomorrow night! Julie's art practice hovers deliciously between abstraction and representation. Taking much of her resource imagery directly from the media, Julie's imagery can range from the hauntingly mysterious to the politically confronting. At other times, Julie feels the need to pull back from the absurdity of the world and delve into her inner self, reac...hing for a dissolute visual language that might approximate a reflection of her state of being. Join Julie and us all online for our opening ceremony tomorrow night, 13th November 2020 at 6pm via our facebook live feed, details at the top of our page. 09.01.2022 Introducing Juliet Rengel, an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts candidate, who's body of work is included in our upcoming 2020 VISION exhibition. Juliet's work transcends her deeply personal histories in dynamic and colourful ways. Citing references from modernist painters Max Beckmann to Alice Neel, Juliet also holds a strong attraction to the European folkloric illustration tradition, resulting in works of graphic power. Her compositions are playful and speak to us in a refre...shingly direct way. Please join us online this Friday, 13th November 2020 on Facebook live through the TAFE Creative Arts Northern Rivers Page for the opening at 6pm. You can see Juliet's commanding work in person from Monday 16th - Friday 20th November at the Drill Hall, Lismore Campus. Hoping to see you there! #2020vision TAFE NSW TAFE NSW - Lismore TAFE NSW - Casino

08.01.2022 Introducing Beau Ravn, an Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts graduate. Beau’s body of artwork is rooted in sacred Norse mythology, exploring how it can be relevant to our age of technological modernity both in terms of materiality, but also philosophical thought. Beau's art is primarily informed by the ancestral and cultural heritage of his Anglo-Nordic origins, however, it disturbs him greatly that the symbols and rich heritage of his culture and spirit have largely been misund...erstood and misrepresented by extremists and white supremacists. Through his art, he is a spokesperson for the rights of ALL people of ALL cultures to be able to share and celebrate their indigenous ancestry & heritage regardless of colour, ethnicity, beliefs or gender identities. His dream is that, one day, ALL people will be able to stand equally alongside each other without prejudice for simply being who they are and were born to be. Please join us online this Friday, 13th November 2020 on Facebook live through the TAFE Creative Arts Northern Rivers Page for the opening at 6pm. You can see Beau's enchanting work in person from Monday 16th - Friday 20th November at the Drill Hall, Lismore Campus. Hoping to see you there!
