Exercise as best you can, even if it is walking around the house/apartment/campus Stick to routines, particularly if working from home is new to you Be flexible Be patient You don’t need 100% clarity all of the time Don’t compare yourself to others Focus on today Build in time for reflection between meetings Take regular breaks (rest and digest what you have achieved) Ask others about the change and how it effects them (this may help to normalise the changes) Communicate and be open and transparent, keeping it simple Acknowledge the work/life overlap please check in on those in your team who may live alone/or find working from home challenging. 10.01.2022 While TAFE NSW has announced that it is pausing face to face delivery at all its campuses until 27 April, TAFE Digital will continue to deliver courses online and provide support to all our students. We encourage students to keep studying and submitting assessments in the usual manner. As some staff are working remotely, we will respond to your phone calls and emails as quickly as possible. We are focused on supporting our students during these challenging times. Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions or require any help.

09.01.2022 Hello all, For people with disability reliant on NSW wheelchair accessible taxis (WAT), this is notice that as of this Friday, November 1, 2019, all WATs in ope...ration will be required to comply with the Protocol that requires the WATs to have a minimum allocated space of 1300 mm long by 800 mm wide by 1500 mm high (which is a three-dimensional rectangular prism) inside the vehicle where passengers using wheelchairs are being transported. Wheelchair accessible taxis and hire vehicles: grandfathering arrangements for the Protocol space requirements in older wheelchair accessible vehicles ending on Friday, November 1, 2019. As there has been a slow response by many WAT owners/operators to address the non-compliant vehicles, there is a rush to obtain a new compliant WAT, so this may result in the number of WATs that will be non-compliant with the Protocol come November 1. So there may be shortfall in the number of WATs operating which could result in people waiting longer for their booked taxi to arrive. Background information: On 1 November 2017 the Point to Point Transport (Taxis and Hire Vehicles) Regulation 2017 introduced dimension requirements for wheelchair accessible taxis and hire vehicles with an exemption applying to some vehicles until 1 November 2019. From this Friday (1 November 2019) this exemption will no longer be in place and all wheelchair accessible taxis (WAT) and wheelchair accessible hire vehicles in NSW must ensure the space where a wheelchair is carried inside a vehicle is at least 1,300mm long, 800mm wide and 1,500mm high, with no intrusions except for adjustable restraint devices. Authorised taxi and booking service providers must ensure that all wheelchair accessible vehicles in their fleet will be compliant with these requirements by this date. Vehicles which do not comply with the dimension requirements from 1 November 2019 must not be used to provide a passenger service of any kind. To use the vehicle lawfully to provide a passenger service after this date the vehicle must be modified so that it is no longer wheelchair accessible. If the vehicle is to be used as a taxi then an appropriate taxi licence (not a WAT licence) must be held. Please see the attached information of the Protocol dimensions and further information is available at the following weblink. The introduction of the Protocol minimum measurement requirements being a three-dimensional rectangular prism was a result of a discrimination complaint lodged under the Disability Accommodation Act (DDA) that I personally lodged in 2009. The complaint outcome resulted in all WATs being required to comply with the Protocol from October 1, 2011, but the Commission has given the deadline of November 1, 2019 for all vehicles providing public transport since the introduction of the Uber and other ridesharing point-to-point services. : https://www.pointtopoint.nsw.gov.au/industry-news Regards, Greg
